This is my third time purchasing the hat. One for myself, one for my mum, and another for dad, as we do a lot of outdoor activities.The hat is lightweight, and it can be easily rolled to fit in the suitcase. The back has a valcro attached to it so that you can easily adjust the size of the hat. Everything is detachable so that you can protect yourself from the sun wherever you want.Overall, it’s a great value for money

This hat is literally everything. It protects against heat, UV damage, and wind! It does not protect against looking ridiculous or being called a beekeeper.Why I bought this hat:The sun and I have a love-hate relationship. The sun wants to kill me and I want to play outside without facing the consequences of skin damage and expedited aging. I wear mineral sunblock all the time, even early in the AM and late PM. I still burn because I am very fair, it sweats or rubs off, and I can't seem to reapply often enough. I wanted a way to not burn and enjoy the sunny outdoors. And sometimes, I just don't want to wear sunblock because I want to keep my skin clean. This hat was the answer to all my problems.How I know this hat is awesome:I wore this hat to the lake. It was a hot day and I was in the sun and on the water noon to nightfall. Not only did this hat protect me from the sun, but also the heat, wind, and sand. It even kept me cool after I fell in the water.Pleasant surprises:It drys fast after it gets wet. It is so light weight, it keeps you cool and you barely notice it. The face flap is long enough to protect the neck and upper chest. The flap is very breathable. It has an opening for airflow, so it's not like wearing a mask. It remains breathable when wet. You can see through the flap very well, even with sunglasses, and it sits comfortably on the face.Bonus surprise for women:It comes with an attached elastic band to hold your hair in case you don't have a hair band! How considerate is that?! I feel so seen!Complaints:It looks cute on the model, but absurd on me.

I got this hat because I have some precancer spots on my nose. I'll be doing the cream thing soon that will apparently make my nose raw and red. Wasn't supposed to go out in the sun, but I'm a runner and I would not survive going a month without running, so this hat seems to be the answer. It covers my entire face except a the small bottom part of my chin. I'll find out if it's waterproof next week when it starts snowing here again.Update: 5.22.24 I'm still wearing the hat, and will continue to do so to protect my face from future damage. The hat IS waterproof which is great. I do need to use the chin strap because it's windy here practically all the time and the hat will take off if not strapped on. The strap keeps coming detached from the holders up inside the hat, so I had to use safety pins to keep it attached.

Well made hat that keeps the sun off and bugs away

The face part goes over my eyes when snapped. I am a petite woman like in the picture. It would have been a nice feature to have. The snaps are wonky and seem to be put in the wrong places. I had to glue two back on. It was inexpensive and gets the job done.

I bought it because I’m on a treatment that doesn’t allow me to go out in the sun without protection. The fabric feels a bit loose, but it’s perfect if you only need it for a few hours during the day. I give the color a 10 — it’s exactly what I was expecting.

The material isn’t very comfortable, and stains don’t come out easily. The design seemed like a good idea, but it doesn’t really work well in practice. I wish I could return but I missed the window.
