A must-have after surgery!
This machine is fantastic! I bought it for my sister after her knee replacement surgery where they wanted her to ice her knee on and off every 20 minutes. This was so easy to use. It made her recovery a lot better. And it made life a whole lot easier for me too. You just fill it up with ice and it automatically put ice on her knee (or wherever you need it to be) every 20 minutes. You don’t have to worry about it for a lot of hours. I think hers lasted most of the day. So we had to fill it up once in the morning and on at night. I highly recommend this as it is way worth money. anytime my sister is a began to hurt, the ice would help ease it. The ice wrapped all the way around her knee and was very, very effective.

Might be best customer service I have ever had.
My wife had a full knee replacement. These types of machines are incredible for the pain relief. We choose this one after reading the reviews. It was a great unit. Worked very well, better than others we have had prior to this recent surgery. Sadly, after two months something went wrong with the unit. Their customer service immediately ran us through some trouble shooting steps. We identified the issue, but the part needed was delayed by 3 weeks. 3 weeks that we could not wait. So, within minutes they processed a full refund so that we could buy a complete brand new machine. I thought people thinking about this product should know how I was treated. I thought it was fantastic given everything.

Minor adjustments needed-but still recommend
UPDATED:THE PHOTOS show some adjustments/improvements. We cut a piece of foil backed foam insulation and placed it in the bottom of our rolling cooler to raise the bottom on which to set the cooling unit. Used reflectix to create an insulation bowl for the cooling unit which we set into the cooler. Using a CPAP hose cozy we covered the tube, making it more comfortable when the hose has to cross the body. The rolling cooler makes it easy to transport in the house. With the insulation additions, the unit stays about the same temperature for hours, even overnight. We still use cold water and frozen water bottles and it so much more efficiwnt now that we've made those improvements.OP:This product does what it says it will do, it circulates cold water to keep a cold pack on for up to 90 minutes at a time. Had a total knee replacement, and used it a lot. You can't program it longer than that. I wish you could, it would allow for a more continuous night's sleep. The only downside is that the locking tubes pop out regularly, the lock doesn't keep them in securely. It's easy to tell as one side won't get cold. Disconnect and reconnect the tubes and, check to make sure both sides are getting cold, then it's good to go.MODIFICATIONS: We put it in a rolling insulated bag to move it from living area to bedroom, and the extra insulation helped keep the water colder longer. The ice cubes that come with it don't seem to cool the water much, we used frozen water bottles and had plenty to switch out in the freezer. For the knee application, the feeder tubes are at the top of the pad, so we cut the toe off a sock and fed the lines through the sock. This made the cold tubes a little more comfortable if they were next to bare skin. Other wishes would be a way to turn down the volume on the alarm when the temperature gets too high, or when the timer is up. Overall, a huge improvement over ice packs that have to constantly be changed, sweat, etc. It allowed me to be pretty independent right after surgery.

NOT REFUNDABLE..BUT AMAZON SAYS IT IS
I bought this after my 5th back surgery. I have never heard of these machines but my friends wife had one it was a Breg unit so I went to my trusty Amazon and I seen this one I read about 50 of them. When it arrived I was so happy but within 2 hours I was helpless. My pain was all over the place apparently after surgery 2 weeks home after telling them somethings wrong MRI says my back is broken so this machine like my friends (Breg) when they work it's better then an opoid pill. Not to say I don't use but they don't last 8 hours so the machine I thought woukd be a blessing is a waste it doesn't get cold like it should the timing from temp 90 to 50 was over 60 minutes and it didn't seem cold at all. I went on line again to SHOP and got a Breg machine. But the most unnerving thing is that right in front it says it is returnable and refundable? So I will call manufacturer. I'm running on slow due to my pain and limit mobility and the stress heightens the pain but I talk myself down from calling Amazon again just to scream at someone. The machine Breg I finally found was only 178.00 free shipping so this 184.99 was a waste ppl need to read because I had already seen these reviews on how it wasn't refundable and didn't work. Maybe Amazon needs to have a Q&A where they actually tedt before they put on their shelves that promise refunds! Don't waste money on this brand. Piece of junk

Great post surgery
This cryotherapy was super helpful post shoulder surgery. I’m very cold sensitive but this was very helpful to quickly ease swelling & pain. You control how cold it gets by the amount of ice or ice bottles you use. Very easy to setup & start using. Easy to move to different locations with thick sturdy handle.
