So glad I found this - for both the ingredients and the results! I use this once a month so I don't get protein build-up, and it leaves my hair feeling so healthy and silky. It is thick, but more like a moisture cream, so not heavy to put in the hair like a mask. I would highly recommend it and will keep using it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Testimony time. I'm a Jamaican. My hair type is 4C aka the original kyah. It dry and tough bad. I have the type of hair that screams "leave me alone!' I don't comb it very often and with regards to styling, less is more. So braids are my friends. On the one hand my hair is extremely coarse and on the other it is extremely delicate, by its very nature. I find that most persons with this type of hair keep it very short - bald or loc it. It breaks very easily so length retention is not easily achieved. FYI my hair repels relaxers.I believe this is the third time that the product label has been changed but from about 2014/2015 this product has been an integral part of my hair routine. I would not place it in the category of a moisturizing nor detangling conditioner. I use it as a strengthening protein conditioner which is very important for length retention for my type of hair. I use it like a deep treatment.This is my routine. I'd wash my hair, apply the protein conditioner from root to ends, do some chunky twists, and let it steam in the steam cap for the required time (most times I go to bed with it in, no lie). Next I rinse and then apply a moisturizing conditioner and let that steam for another 30 minutes (or less if you have a hooded dryer). Don't skip this step. I did once and regretted it because the protein conditioner makes my strands tough, like it hardens the texture of the hair, I find. My hair needs that to reinforce my weak hair strands, then I add back moisture to it. Detangle with a wide tooth comb, rinse, apply leave in conditioner and style as desired.If you want your hair to benefit from a very good protein treatment, this product is for you.

So far I think I like this protein treatment. My hair came out really nice and it hasn't sheaded any since I blew dry and flattened it. However there were some cons.... First, the protective seal or white paper was not in place, instead it was in the top itself. Second, the smell is a bit off putting. Based on other reviews, I did a deep moisturizing conditioner treatment right after this and I still smelled this product in my hair. My whole room smelled like it for a few hours. Outside of that though, I think it did what it's suppose to do cause my shedding has completely stopped SO FAR. I'll give an update if anything changes in the next week or two.

I opened the product and it looks like product paste deal. But,NOOOO, it was creamy and spreads well. No product residue. I love, but more importantly, my locs love it ❤️
