This was a total lifesaver during the 2021 heatwave. I HATE hot humid weather with a passion and was stuck working at home, in an attic bedroom that has two tiny skylights and a south-facing window that always seems to face away from the breeze.I only survived that summer with my sanity intact due to a handful of genius items, including this awesome blanket! It gives just enough weight to be comforting in bed, but thin and silky enough to feel cool against the skin.The other sanity-savers were a cooling towel (the ones that come in a little tub, they are SO cold when wet!) a large gel mat (in the freezer when I started work, put on my mattress with this blanket as a barrier afterwards) and a pillow-sized gel mat for my work chair (ditto but timeline reversed).Cooling sprays also help but there's no way I could have coped without these things - this year I'm going to get the pillowcases & a second gel pillow to put inside so I'm not running around swapping things over...BTW I'd LOVE if there was a v-pillow case or maybe mattress cover (I might save up for a larger size & use that?) but otherwise I love this blanket so much during the summer!

Loved it so much I now have a single and a double. Took the single on holiday with me recently as I knew the temps were in high 20s in the eve. Hate sleeping with air-con. Didn't have one uncomfortable or noisy night. They are now essential pack items.They wash with my pj's and dry very quickly over the airing rack. (That said I use them over a sheet so don't need doing too often.)They're slightly weighty so even when it's really hot you can get that snuggly feeling. Colour is very clever, seems to blend nicely with any decor, I've used them in 3 very different bedrooms so far.Is your man one of those natural hot water bottles superheating the bed? Get one of these.Do you wake in the night burning like you've been to the gym? Need one.Got a poorly person in the house with a fever? I didn't know what to expect and when it arrived I was amazed how thin it was.There are 2 sides one has a fluffy type texture and that is the backing.The smooth side is the chilling side and when I first put it over me it really worked and I felt chilled on a hot and HUMID nightMy disappoint was it didnt stay chilled all night but apparently it works better when you have been sweating but I wanted a sweat free night in a chiller Sheet but I still use it and shake it every so often during the night and it chills again

The blanket is better than expected. When I first heard of cooling blankets I didn't think it'd really work. In desperation to get away from some of the incoming hot days I bought one to try out, expecting to return it because it'd be bad- I am actually blown away. The quality of the blanket is very nice, soft on one side and silky on the other, both very comfortable. It cools me down quite a bit and makes the slightly warmer nights more tolerable, I don't know how I went without one for so long. Would recommend, but not as a full summer heat solution, it takes some of the heat off but you do have to shuffle it around sometimes just to get to the cooler parts, as your body temp does warm it up over time.

I have to admit I'm disappointed writing this review as I have the matching pillow case and it works wonderfully.Upon arrival the blanket is very compact and packed well. Its also very lightweight upon delivery. Once opened its nice and soft and very comfortable, One side is clearly cooler to the touch that the other while the other has a nice brushed cotton feeling. Now for the sad part, I bought this because the stupid British weather has been overly warm and its left me unable to sleep at night. , my Initial thought of the blanket was that it was lovely and cooling, however about 10 mins after tucking myself into bed it adjusted to my actual body temperature (I'm a human radiator sadly) and became quite uncomfortable as it just radiated by body heat back towards me. I have tried it for a few nights and while the initial cooling feeling doesn't last more than 10 mins I've found if you can sleep with a fan on it isn't as awful and I eventually got a good nights rest. Sadly in the currently world of our overpriced electrics its perhaps not visible in the long run.

I was a bit apprehensive that this blanket was gonna keep me cool and I’ve been proved wrong!The blanket is absolutely brilliant and keeps you cool all night long and is a game changer in the resent hot weather. The fabric is very light and feels cool to the touch. Washes and dries on the line very well. I’ll be getting a second one!

Having read other reviews I was a bit hesitant to order this but with the money back guarantee it seemed like a no brainer. It is a bit like a "weighted" blanket so is not light (but not too heavy either) being just right to sleep under. It does quickly adjust to body temperature and I believe that the "cool" side of it only comes into effect when you move around. The bits of the blanket not on your body are cool to the touch, as you move around and move to different parts of the blanket so you get the "cool" effect. I would not say it is "cooling" as such. However, having trialled it on some hot nights it worked for me and was sufficient to give me a better nights sleep than before. I imagine it can be used for much longer than a proper cold mat and therefore probably represents better value for money.
