KASIASPierogi, Cheese, 14 Ounce (Pack of 6)

When these arrived at my residence, there was no sign of dry ice in the box, although it seemed well insulated. They were shipped to me in Nevada in June, where it’s well over 100 degrees. The Pierogi was not frozen on arrival, but the packages felt cool to the touch like if they’d come out of a refrigerator.So I immediately put them in my freezer. Not sure if that was the thing to do, but since I’m not cooking them right away, I had to do something with them.A couple days later I decided to make a sample batch to make sure they were okay.I cooked them the way my Polish grandmother did. Boil in salted water until they float to the top, then sauté them in butter until they are slightly golden.They turned out fabulous. The pierogi did not fall apart during boiling or sautéing. They were oh so delicious and reminded me of my childhood in Detroit and things like Polish weddings, Christmas Eve and warm places in my heart.These are superb all by them selves, served hot out of the frying pan. You get just enough buttery flavor topped off by that sweet cheese. However, I am making these for a gathering of my west coast friends, most of whom have never had a pierogi. I am making a platter with a different choice of toppings. Strawberry sauce, mixed berry, whipped cream, cinnamon/sugar and confectioners sugar. I expect it to be a big hit.If you’re on the fence about ordering these, I say try them, they are just like my grandmother used to make!

I love everything about these. They come in a bigger box insulated with styrofoam like a cooler n packed with dry ice bags. They come 6 packages of 12 pierogi. So 72 total. N they can NOT be bought in stores. Made and packaged in Chicago, authentic flavor n rich quality. What's not to love. Only wish they sold a meat filled one. I strongly recommend these pierogi, sauteed not boiled. Try them you'll love em' share em with your friends n family.

I relocated from Chicago to TX where these are not available. KASIAS are my favorite!! Found these on Amazon so I ordered in July. JULY IN TX IS HOT! Dry Ice bag was in the bottom of box but completely empty. Pierogi were cool so I put in freezer. I will update if bad BUT so excited I found these!

Didn’t like the taste

I bought them before at fresh thyme market. Then they quit carrying the pierogies and I only carry the blintzes. They were smaller and too expensive. I’m thrilled that I found these online because I know how delicious they are.I always make them with plenty of caramelized onions. I have to make sure I only make half of the time because if I didn’t… I need the whole package!

Phenomenal packaging and fast delivery! These are hard to find and taste just like I remember. Shipped in an insulated container with dry ice at no extra charge. I’ve seen other pierogi sellers charge $12 dozen and add $15 for containers. I will buy again!

Delicious. I love the flavor of the sweet cheese. I lightly fry in butter and panko unseasoned breadcrumbs. I watch so they don’t get crispy.

Sadly, they arrived warm...Dry ice was totally evaporated.The day before, a delivery of fish, from Maine, arrived frozen solid with ice still intact. So I know cold /frozen food can make it here in the winter months.
