24 Pack 2" Swivel Caster Wheels Hard Rubber Base with Top Plate & Bearing

I have a vegetable garden this year and we planted them in containers on our back deck. I decided to make a custom dolly for the planters so that they would be easy to move around as needed..So it was a pretty easy material list, a sheet of plywood, 2x4's and 40 castors. Now it has been awhile since I bought lumber but it was still reasonable. I happened to be in one of the big box stores and they had castors for $2.99 each which i thought was expensive, so I looked further, and to my surprise $2.99 was cheap, some stores were selling these exact ones for over $10 dollars each! to say the least, we would have to have a bumper crop and eat everything to make up for $400.00 worth of castors!!!So to the web I did search. and of course Amazon had the best deal.These castors are exactly like the ones everyone else sells. These have rubber wheels instead of plastic wheels (By the way, the smell that some people have complained about comes from the wheels and it reminds me of the tire storage area at any large tire store)The Castors are chrome plated with bearings between the top plate and wheel plate. They do not have bearings on the wheels and at this price point I was not expecting them to have wheel bearings.I do not know if they used chrome bearings, however if these are going to be used outside I would recommend a dab of wheel grease be placed on the bearings ( they do not have any grease zerk fittings, but use a gloved hand to work the grease into the bearing area)So the bottom line is that these are a great value, they were exactly what I was looking for, and they arrived in 3 days in adequate packaging .

Lets be fair a great set of wheels on the bottom of a piece of wood make a dolly, or on the bottom of a trash can make it portable. The uses are almost infinite and these fit the bill very well. They are strong and wide so they maintain stability. Great wheels

Ok guys,... the value you get for the price you pay is unbeatable (compared to what you find in hardware stores). However, beware of the smell when you open the box. I did not believe other reviews that insist that these wheels are stinky, but alas, it's true. I had to move the entire box outside, and let it air out for a couple of days before they are tolerable to bring indoor. I also wiped each one of the wheels twice with white vinegar in hopes of getting the smell off the rubber wheels quickly. Once you get past this stage, every thing about these wheels are great. Great price. Pretty good quality. I used #8 screws. I did find them so useful that I bought another set of 24... this time, I will open the box outside and have my white vinegar ready!

These wheels are a great value for the quantity in this package. Using these to build rolling casters for my large potted plants. The weight limits far exceed my requirement when using four wheels for each caster. They work great and I've saved allot of money in the process considering the price of market casters.

These casters are perfect for my planted pots. I make the dollies and mount 4 wheels on each one. I make 12 and 15 inch dollies and add the wheels. Perfect for my plants so I don't have to pick up those heavy pots. I use these especially on my deck to keep the pots off the floor. That keeps my deck dry and prevents issues later from a wet floor. I can move my potted plants anywhere on the deck. This makes my chores so easy when I am planting new flowers. I highly recommend these casters for all purposes. Thanks

Great bargain for a quality product

The actual wheels on the swivel casters are probably not rated for the weight capacity. Once you get even half way of the weight rating, you’ll notice the movement is not smooth and feels like they’re binding up or there’s “invisible locks” on them. I had them under a small wooden table... I’ll admit the total weight of my table was near the max rating for four casters so I installed 6 of them...(And the small table was leveled on the bottom) 4 of the caster’s wheels literally broke into pieces after a few times rolling the table... The metal components held up and aren’t the issue, the wheels themselves are weak / a bit brittle... I have pushed the weight limit on my other casters I’ve purchased elsewhere over the years and never had amy casters do what these have done. Just be really careful if you plan on putting anything heavier than 1/2 of the rated weight capacity. If they aren’t rolling smooth once installed, the caster’s wheels are probably gonna fall apart if you or even a child puts their weight on the item.I might add photos of broken wheels later, but I just don’t feel like searching my photos to find them right now.

These are equal to the features and quality of casters I have bought locally at the big box stores but the price is so much better and having a large quantity delivered free with my Prime Membership means not having to run to a store and hoping they have the number on hand I will need.I am using these for putting wheels on furniture, dressers, TV Cabinets, etc.. Life is so much easier when things can just be rolled to a new location if one wants to clean or just change things up! They make our elderly lives a breeze when we can just roll furniture instead of lifting and carrying.
