Works great, bakes evenly
The interior was definitely shallower than I expected. However, I baked 2 Shoofly pies, one right after the other, and they baked uniformly on top. I was expecting darker areas near the heating element areas but no such thing. I really don’t know how the oven managed it. Kind of defied physics. I also baked various recipes like Moroccan Pork with roasted veges and ready-made bake yourself meals from my supermarket, partial bake breads and frozen pizzas. Again, perfect bakes every time. Toasting was also perfect uniformity and easy to control the level of toasting. Super happy with this purchase that I got for my elderly parents while I stayed with them a few months due to a medical situation one was experiencing. The controls are also super easy for them. Few buttons but totally self explanatory. There’s a Frozen: Yes or No setting, too. Wish I had that setting on my toaster oven. Regarding round and rectangular pizzas, the rectangular ones had to be pushed in there with some curved edges but it worked out fine edible-wise. Circle ones fit but it was tight. I only made the Aldi pizzas imported from Europe so they might run small compared to US-made frozen pizzas. As for looks, my parents really liked it. I’m not a big fan of black glass but it looked nice enough. Kind of disappears in their rustic Italian style kitchen. I have a Breville that I love but quality during Covid seems to have deteriorated for this brand, hopefully temporarily. Some scary events reported. So I decided on Zojirushi hoping they’re holding their high quality standard. Seems to definitely be the case with this product from my experience so I feel I can rest easy having it in my parents’ kitchen.Be aware, the oven pings when preheated and you do have to go back to start the baking process. I think it turned off on me once when I took my good ole time getting around to it. But I like this feature because it keeps attention on the hot appliance. However, this safety feature might annoy some people. I’m divided on this feature if it were in my kitchen.

Bakes evenly, and NO PFAS!!! UPDATE: chicken comes out great!
It's so hard to find a toaster oven without PFAS. From my reading, even the ceramic coatings are problematic. I am convinced I've made the right choice with the Zojirushi.I thought I liked the style of the Breville better, but I'm surprised to discover I'm actually rather partial to this now that it's sitting on our counter.First observations (I'll return to update once I've had more experience with it):I can't get over how quickly this heats up!I love that the controls are very straightforward: just two dedicated buttons, one for the light, and one to cancel. The dial and integrated button make selection of cooking style easy.As promised, the baking seems to be very even. I only baked a frozen pie so far, and I wasn't sure what to expect, so I lowered the temperature from the recommended 350 to 325 and went a little longer, but I think I could have just followed the instructions on the package for a regular oven.Even though this oven doesn't fit a quarter sheet, I think it will be just fine. It will definitely accommodate a 12" pizza and the included baking sheet is 12.5" by 12.5".The cord feels a bit short to me, and comes out from the right side of the oven. For some reason I expected it to be on the back, which would be a little more versatile and less likely to accidentally touch the exterior of the oven. Since our power outlet is on the left of the oven and the cord has to wrap around from the right to be plugged in, I will probably get a cable organizer to ensure the cord doesn't touch the exterior of the oven (which does get hot.) In a pinch I placed a glass jar behind the oven (not in contact with it) to just hold the cord back.Since the outside does get hot, so be sure to follow the manual's instructions on giving it clearance, and don't put anything on top while in use. I store it under a cabinet and slide it out while in use to be extra-cautious. Definitely use supervised, especially if you have pets (I have a cat who is not allowed on countertops, but she has yet to acknowledge this.) I know that should go without saying, but it can't hurt to emphasize!Things to have on hand that may be obvious but are really helpful: aluminum foil, gentle lint-free microfiber cloths for cleaning, gentle dish soap, possibly a cable organizer, definitely counter space (I moved some of the clutter to magnetic shelves that attach to the side of our fridge. I even got a magnetic paper towel holder. Now there's plenty of room for the toaster oven!)We're going to try making some chicken breasts in it soon, and I will update with how that goes :).UPDATE: my husband, the chef of the household, has baked chicken breasts wrapped in foil on the preset roast setting, and it turns out well! He reports that he will experiment with putting the oven on broil for the final few minutes to brown it.We’ve done quite a few cookies and roasted garlic, too.I washed the crumb tray tonight and it was no problem at all.I’m unaware of anything else on the market that’s comparable and doesn’t have nonstick coatings. Still thrilled with this purchase.Extra pans and trays are available on the Zojirushi website.

What an appliance!
Wonderful little appliance! Got rid of a 12 year old cuisinart and wow does this cook so evenly compared. Lots of space and from what I can tell on par with the Zojirushi brand in quality. Toast comes out even, no burned food whatsoever and looks great as well. I'd buy this again.

Easy to operate and makes excellent toast
My Oster toaster oven finally broke down after about 3 years. I like a basic toaster oven with temperature dials and not a ton of electronics. I was planning on getting another cheap sub $100 toaster oven but since I do almost all my baking/toasting/reheating using one, I decided since I’ve owned several Zojirushi products and have been happy with them, I’d give their toaster oven a try. It’s not tiny, but it’s not huge either, so there’s plenty of room to feed singles or a small family. I like the basic functionality; turn it on and use the dial to select Toast/Bake/Broil etc., hit OK, then use the dial to select temperature and cook time, press OK again and you’re done. When it’s finished cooking, it beeps and if whatever you’re cooking needs more time, just use the dial to extend the cook time. It really excels at toast once you find the level of brownness you want (settings range from 1 to 5). Great at reheating food (especially fried food), roasting vegetables, broiling burgers and steaks, baking chicken and fish, and heating frozen pizzas. Pretty much does everything you need a toaster oven to do. Highly recommended.
