Surprisingly effective
Used these for a backyard BBQ and we get a lot of mosquitos in our area. I used two coils on opposite ends of our deck and our kept the mosquitos away all night!

Ummm….🤔
The media could not be loaded. I bought these coils twice and found the first order was a breeze! I watched the video before my purchase so when I received them I did just as the video directed and the coils came apart very easily. Absolutely no issue.I reordered the coils when I came close to running out because they really work well—even better than the OFF brand. When they were delivered I sat about separating them but found this go-around the coils weren’t nearly as easy to pull apart. The very middle (the “snake’s head”) and the very end were very rigid, not nearly as pliable as the first order. Initially I thought ‘well maybe this first one was a fluke or a defect’ and went on to the next. In succession exactly 10 coils broke at basically the same spots. Either the head—the middle—broke off, at some point toward the end broke, or the very end broke. But again those points on each coil—even the coils that didn’t break—were extremely hard. The texture was completely different from the first order. (I was so frustrated especially since the first order of coils all separated so quickly and easily and that was really important to me because I have osteoarthritis and neuropathy which causes issues with fine manipulation.)Anyway I was left with just six coils fully intact and as you can see in the first photo I’ve place them back in the box strategically because the first coil to break did so after I placed it on top of the other and they “fused” back together.. Now I’ll be using all of them because I bought an incense holder to hold the coils with the first order. I just light all the ends and lay the broken pieces in there and keep it moving!I’m just posting this because I’m wondering if this was just a particularly rigid hard batch. Aside from this though I adore this product. The coils really keep the mosquitoes, gnats, and “no-seeums” far away.(Please forgive the length of this review and any spelling or grammatical errors. I had no energy to go back and proofread before posting.)

Work well but I still haven't Mastered the Ying-Yang Separation.
I live in Florida where hostile mosquitos breed year round. These work well but I always have trouble seperating the intertwined coils and end up breaking one or more. And if you break off the inside end your little coil stand is useless, that is unless you have an empty can around! The advantage of using the can for the broken segments is you can light both ends and get twice the smoke. I recommend consuming the beverage first then putting a little water for ballsat in the bottom.

Best coils you'll find
These Coils are good. My Review perhaps a bit verbose, but please read on if you are in search of a good Mosquito coil.First the smell, that strong CITRONELLA smell, much much better than PIC coils. I've posted a picture of both, the darker green one is the LOV. Also the metal stand that comes with it, the LOV one lets you put little pieces, so you don't have to light a coil if you don't want to. NONE of the coils I ordered were broken, but if they were, the PIC holder has no way to hold a little piece. These do. Quite often I plan to be outside on the deck for maybe 45 minutes or so. If I light a whole coil I might forget and then waste so much. By taking little pieces I can also spread them around more to get better coverage of the area. These are so much better than the PIC brand. I used to buy the PIC brand, but a few years ago they changed. Their stands used to be good, but not anymore. These one from LOV are far superior!I've purchased these again.Twice now they've arrived and were not broken, as somebody else complained.I've used various coils like these over the years, these are the only ones I'm buying from now on.

Just okay…
Even though the scent of the coils was pleasant, I couldn’t help but be reminded of Spencer’s Gift Shop back in the 80’s with the same familiar scent of incense burning. I am not sure if without using the coils that I would have been stung more by mosquitoes, because I still was stung plenty with these coils burning. I may try another brand for comparison. One thing is for sure, I will NOT be slathering my body with DEET.

An effective substitute for pyrethrin coils
I've used mosquito coils for over sixty years, ever since I was a kid and Drive-In theaters in the South handed them out for free when you bought tickets. The old ones used pyrethrin and sandalwood sawdust, which worked and smelled great. But after decades, Coghlan's stopped making them. I tried the PIC coils, which were a good substitute, but about a year ago they switched to the synthetic Permethrin, which is not as environmentally safe, and their coils when lit smell like a fire in a landfill. These citronella coils smell citrusy, burn well, and keep most of the mosquitos from finding you. Just light a couple and keep them close. These arrive well packaged with no breakage, and are easier to separate than the other brands. I recommend them and will keep buying them. Coghlan's still makes mosquito coil burners, which work well with these and are a worthwhile purchase as well.

They work great!
We live in the moist , hot south where if you can rope one you could ride a mosquito. These are awesome for the porch and smell very good while burning!

They work but please read the 1 and 2 star reviews. Breakage.
I may be able to use a third of the package. Of course they are brittle. They make you separate two from each other, chances are pretty slim you're getting them apart without breaking. Not sure about using broken ones. The two I got separated without breaking worked well. Wouldn't buy twice.
