No slop or play. 2.225" fits perfect in my factory puck style hitch. (2011 f250)
This fits great in my truck. I was worried about free-play, but the tolerances are perfect. 2.225" fits great into the 2.25" hole.

Customer support replaced peeling hitch
Another reviewer complained about the finish on the hitch ball peeling, but since that happened more than a year after purchase it was not covered by the Curt warranty. In my case finish peeling happened within a month of purchase after towing 4 times and the company was quick to replace the ball after I sent a copy of my Amazon invoice and a picture of the peeled surface. Both the customer who was not given a new ball and I had used good lubrication. Since I do not see many reviews noting this problem, perhaps it's a rare event. I guess the lesson is to keep an eye on it during the warranty period. Other than that a little rust on the safety chain tie downs, the Curt system worked well with my Ram 2500 that has the 5th wheel prep option.
