Lego DUPLO My First Cars and Trucks 10816 Toy for 1.5-5 Year-Olds

Another amazing set by LEGO DUPLO. I purchased this for my almost three year old son who is obsessed with cars, trucks, and well - any vehicle! This set comes with 36 pieces and includes enough pieces to make not one, not two, but THREE vehicles! These just aren't ordinary vehicles either - you can build a crane, firetruck, regular car, and a dump truck! You can mix and match the pieces to create all sorts of fun vehicles. The pieces are bright and colorful which is pretty normal for DUPLO. Some of the bricks are brightly decorated to depict windows (people/pets in them!), water refiling station, and a traffic light. The little puppy in the window is super cute - my toddler loved that little detail. The vehicles, once completed, are the perfect size for little hands. It comes with building idea cards which is fun to give them ideas on what to build or perhaps a simple lesson in how to follow instructions. Super cute and fun set. Very happy with this DUPLO set. We will be back for more, I'm sure!

Great Lego set for my little builder. The pieces are large enough not to be a choking hazard but not small enough to make you want to amputate your foot of you accidentally step on one. The little cars are really cute and can sustain quite the large tower should your child choose to create on that moves. All of the duplo sets have interchangeable parts making unlimited opportunities for creativity. Fantastic set, and I look forward to buying more from the duplo line in the future.

Bought this on a lightning deal for $15. My husband and 2 year old son love it. Its perfect for my son's age and he's very much into building blocks and vehicles, so this was a great addition. This also is compatible with the mega blocks which is a neat feature. Great quality and variety overall!

Great product! Keeps my kid really entertained and he's a wild child so it's nice that he has these to keep him chill for a while. Not to mention they're great for creating and problem solving. If you just play with your kid a couple times and show them how to use them, they will pick it up in no time and be off on they're own and begin to surprise you as to how much they can really do.

I love this Duplo set and my 2.5 year old does too! He loves to build the trucks and cars into all kinds of ways. It is so versatile and imagination go a long way. This set has kept him occupied for hours - well worth it. My one complaint is the gas/water hose does not work well. It did okay for maybe a day and them pops up whenever you try to put it in place. The connection isn't strong or tight enough. My 2 year old brings it to me since he can't get it and I can't even get it to stay properly. Wished that piece were better or replaced with something different but overall it is a great set!

This is for my young grandchildren. I covered up the whole of the box and used it a a storage container. The diagrams on the box are helpful for different ideas how to assemble the cars. The duplos are well built just like the classic size legos my son had over 30 years ago. (I kept all of those pieces including their directions. My older grandson loved playing with the classic legos.)

This is my daughter's first Duplo block set. We particularly like that it has multiple sets of wheels so we can build several different cars. Here favorite accessory is the ladder -- I don't know why but she really enjoys disassembling the ladder and the dump box. There's a good assortment of pieces that you can rearrange. Good quality and good fit from block to block.

I bought this for two grandchildren, a boy 20 months and a girl 18 months. They both love it. The boy has spent half an hour at a time with the dump truck, which really dumps. It has been filled with pebbles and sand many times but hasn't scratched. The tow truck is also an especially big hit. It does really tow. Also, which I like, there are picture cards in the box of what you can make, so you can save them when you toss the box. I have an old duplo set that made a fire engine, but I can't remember how to do it without a picture. Even my oldest grandchildren, 8 and 10, build with this set. The sets where you construct a building don't seem as popular as this one. Highly recommended.
