Lovely coloring pages-very reader friendly-an easy to understand explanation of Lent. I would recommend for ages 3-11. I understand that 11 might sound a bit old for this book, but for those children who do not have a strong background or long term experience with Lent, this can be a great introduction.

I have purchased all 4 of the "What is" coloring books that help children understand important aspects of the Catholic faith. Each Coloring Book teaches different Catholic Biblical Truths. My children learn good Catholic principles of life, while have fun coloring.

I like the simple pictures that allow for younger kids to color and understand basic concepts. The lessons are specifically Catholic, explaining what Catholics believe and do regarding lent. I bought this for my 4-year-old, but I’m uncomfortable with so many references to sin, in teachings for such a young child. For children who are already accustomed to teachings on sin and human fallibility, this would probably be appropriate for 4-7 year olds.

Not bad but drawings could be better and more enticing to color e.g., one page for a close up on a pair of praying hands...not very fun to color. It only has 16 pages.

Good book to reproduce and use for the whole class to color and read, or teacher/parent to read. Some good lessons in here.
