No need to go to locksmith or dealer! Good quality key.
First of all, this key looks exactly like my original factory key and actually feels higher quality! Even came with a little Ford emblem sticker for the back. But the best part is you can DIY program these and not have to take them to a dealer or locksmith to program.I have a 2015 Ford Expedition limited. I was skeptical if I would be able to program this new key myself (diy). Most people were saying they took their 'remote' key to a locksmith or dealer. But I found these instructions below worked perfectly. My expedition has no ignition key slot, it is only push-button start....Using the key-shaped slot in the back wall of the center console storage, and my two factory programmed keys, I was able to program this new key in under 2 minutes!! No kidding. No locksmith, no dealer. I will still need to get the valet metal key carved but that's super cheap...DIY PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS:You must have two previously programmed intelligent access keys inside the vehicle and the new unprogrammed intelligent access keys readily accessible. If two previously programmed keys are not available, you must take your vehicle to your authorized dealer to have the spare key(s) programmed.Ensure that the vehicle is off before beginning this procedure. Ensure that all doors are closed before beginning this procedure and that all doors remain closed throughout the procedure. Perform this procedure exactly as described below, and perform all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence. If any steps are performed out of sequence, stop and wait for at least one minute before starting again.1. Place the new unprogrammed intelligent access key in the pocket inside of the center console.2. Press the driver or passenger power door unlock control three times.3. Press and release the brake pedal one time.4. Press the driver or passenger power door lock control three times.5. Press and release the brake pedal one time. The indicator on the Start/Stop button should begin to rapidly flash, indicating that programming mode has been entered and two programmed intelligent access keys have been detected in the vehicle.6. Within one minute, press the Start/Stop button. A message will be displayed on the message center indicating that the new intelligent access key was programmed. If four intelligent access keys have already been programmed to your vehicle, you cannot program anymore and the message MAX # OF KEYS LEARNED will be displayed on the message center.7. Remove the intelligent access key from the center console pocket and press the unlock button on the newly programmed intelligent access keys to exit programming mode.8. Verify that the remote entry functions operate (press lock then unlock, making sure you end in unlock) and that the vehicle starts with new intelligent access key. If the intelligent access key has been successfully programmed, it can be used to activate the intelligent access with push button Start feature and can be used to start your vehicle.

Works great and programming was fairly simple.
Follow Andrew C’s instructions and you should not have a problem. Just be sure to replace the battery that comes in the remote as you have no idea how old that battery may be. One thing that I would add, is be sure the push start/stop button stops blinking before you take the new remote out of the programming pocket in the center console.I’d recommend buying one of these when you first buy your Ford so you have the spare. You do need two working keys to program the new key. The steps will take you less than 5 minutes and will save you hundreds of dollars from the Ford dealer.

Defective on arrival
Defective product would not program to the car. tried using multiple professional grade diagnostic scan tools to complete the programming process on my 13 ford escape with no success the FCC ID and part ID match for what is supposed to fit the car. ended up buying two OE ford fobs that programmed on the first try with no issues what so ever. if your willing to gamble 30 bucks and can do the programming yourself it might be worth your while to save 130$

Doesn't work on all models listed
Pretty bummed. My son took this to get it programmed in his car. It only works to start his car in the car. Nothing else works on it and no dealership or shop can fix it. They have all said it's missing a very important chip to functon correctly. Unfortunately my son broke the original to his Lincoln MKS and can't lock, unlock, remote start. He has to use the key inside. That key is a nightmare because it fall inside a spot in the glove box where the key goes and we constantly have to take his dash apart to hopefully find it before its lost forever. Maybe you should sell the entire key fob instead of sending just the basic crap I got.

Key can’t be programmed if you don’t have the two original programmed keys
The smart key worked well, but I needed to call a locksmith service to program it. It is important to know that to be able to program a new key by yourself, you need to have the two original programmed keys. If you only have one key (as it was in my case, because I lost one of the original keys), you can’t program a new one. I think that should be explained in the description of the product. The price is fine in comparison to buying it with a dealer, but I needed to pay 130.00 extra to the locksmith service. With the dealer was over 300.00 and they may not accept a key bought outside. Consider this issue before getting it.

It worked but need car dealership’s programming
The description was misleading (on purpose?). It works only with help of car dealership. You can’t program it with only one working key fob.

This Key Fob works great, at a fraction of the cost of a dealer fob.
The key fob works fully, like the original. It was fairly easy to program, as long as you have 2 working key fobs. (I could actually get my "dead" key fob to come back to life for an hour or so, way more than needed to program the new one; by blowing a hot hair dryer on it for awhile.) It works great, at a fraction of the cost a dealer would charge for one.

Works Perfectly
Key can’t be programmed if you don’t have the two original programmed keys, otherwise you are good to go. Both of my keys had pads that stopped working, but the keys were not dead. I followed Andrew C's DIY Instructions in his 5 star review and it worked perfectly. I am the only driver of my 2014 Ford Taurus Limited, So no need to cut the new key, I just took one out of another fob and slipped it in!
