I use this with my mule for a lot of different small chores - everything from picking up branches to taking feed out to the back pasture. It is very forgiving if you don't weight every load, and you can clearly see it sliding to the side if you overpack one side. I cover my saddle from horn to cantle with a thin blanket to prevent wear marks and it works really well. The fabric is tough, and the stitching is well done. I expect this will last me a very long time. There is a training curve in the beginning because it makes scary noises as canvas on canvas does, but my mule didn't mind after the second introduction.

Works well and very easy to remove and put back on. Built durable will rip if you ride through thick trees to much, but honestly what won't? Horses put alot of force on packs when going through trees. Excellent product if you stick to the open trails.

This is a brilliant design, easy to use with any western saddle, lightweight and easy to store when not in use

I bot these TrailMax Saddle Panniers for our annual hunting trip into a wilderness area, lots of brush, trees etc...... They worked great!!! No tears, didn't slip around on the saddle, worked very well. The pic is a little deceiving cause it shows the packs with inserts in them, they don't come with the inserts, so they look flatter then that when they are on your horse, but they still work great! You can buy the inserts or even make some out of plywood...... Good product!!!!

A buddy and I adapted these to fit our bikes, a wr250f and crf250x for a hunting/camping trip. We put in 12 gallon hdx totes in each bag, there's a little room on top for more gear. These bags took a beating against rocks and trees, ripped in a few spots but we were using them for something they weren't intended for. I can imagine they would last for a very long time with less abuse.

Tough and ready for abuse in the Mts. during our hunt. Easy to load and stayed secure.

The only thing I was disappointed in, was the picture makes them look like they come with a hard insert.. other than that, they are nice
