I carefully measured my head size, using their instructions about tightly holding the tape measure, and where to locate it on my head. Since different stores gave different size designations for various measurements, I made certain to utilize this manufacturer's chart and the fit is perfect!The hat images showing colors for "dark brown" and "reddish brown," showed the same image and same coloring, but I just went with the dark brown and was quite satisfied. The brim and crown shapes were just what I wanted, so I didn't have to do anything. Included with the hat was an attached, removable, leather "chin string," which I am leaving in place for windy days, and I just toss it up into the top of the hat before I slip it on my head - out of the way, but usable if the wind picks up!This hat has very good, thick, rigid leather, so it is not collapsible, which is great, I didn't want that feature, and it was not advertised to fold. It has a nice, smooth leather finish which should be easy to dust off. I can't speak about how it performs in the hot summer weather, but it was 18 degrees out this morning, and my hat felt great. There are three vent holes, as shown in one of the photos, so I should be pretty good in hot weather.I got this hat to protect my face since I just had a malignant melanoma removed from my cheek, and I have been advised to protect myself from sun exposure. This hat has a nice wide brim, so it should offer the protection I need. I am hanging this right by the door, so I have no excuse about forgetting to wear it! :-)

The product itself is amazing I bought as a gift. Came wrapped in clear plastic so if your gift is someone you live with , wouldn’t recommend unless the seller can conceal the item for a gift. The hat I highly recommend!

I got this hat 5 months ago, and I’ve been wearing it every single day since it’s very comfortable keeps rain off everything, the brim is easily shaped, I reshaped it a couple days ago and it was very easy, great quality hat, feels custom made and fits like custom made. I love this hat, I ordered reddish brown and it looks absolutely gorgeous. The stitching of the hat band can be cut to add flair like a feather or two, I cut mine on the left hand side to add a bird feather and it has held it in place perfectly.

I was skeptical but ordered solely based on price. The material seems like leather and the quality is on par with hats I viewed at one of the big box western stores. It’s a good value if you are looking to try your hand at a new hat or just get an extra to work in. The size is a tiny bit snug but I prefer that and assume it will break it more with use. It’s a good value hat that doesn’t look cheap.

Me and my husband were not the big hat lovers until the last September when I bought the same medium red hat for him as a gift.He loved that hat and always kept it with him while traveling and got many compliments about it.But lost the hat about a month ago, so I decided to gift him this black one.The hat was little out of shape when I got it (probably due to shipping) but the shapeable wire made it super easy to get the hat back in shape.The leather quality and stitching are well made better than the previous one and have small grains on it which give it that Hashmat look. The seller must have improved on it. The inner band gives the good grip in the hair and hat gets fit easily even if its little loose. The Chin cord is to detachable and attachable according to the need. The hat band and all the buckles are attached at perfect angle and their rusty color makes them prominent and attractive.The size of that hat is perfect and comfortable according to the size chart.I plan on buying another red one for and me and my husband will have a pair of red & black for road trips.The love of other customers for the hat is clearly visible in reviews as one reviewer mentioned Official Road Trip Eddie hat. The hat is great value for the money.The delivery was on time and exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend and buy again.

UPDATE July 2021. After the first hat was received a horrible mess (as noted below) the seller offered me a replacement and I have to say it is 100% better than the first hat. I don't know if there is a 3rd party they use to make of their product or if I just got a really bad item but the new one is beautiful! Every seam is sewn with obvious care, the leather is heavy and thick, every part lines up perfectly and this time it was delivered in a box as oppose to a bag. I love everything about it! Thank you for the beautiful replacement.I was so excited to get this as it was my birthday gift to myself. Unfortunately it is a complete mess and unwearable. First, it came in a mailer bag with 4 other items offering no protection for the hat. The entire brim was folded under and tucked unto the crown causing the wire to crimp in places and the leather of the brim to have weird bulges, this had to have been done at shipping because it was too precise. When I tried to straighten the brim I realized the crown is not set right in the brim, the "point" on the front is point about 2 inches to the side giving the crown a weird tilted bulgy thing happening. While checking it out I realized my finger was sticking to the hat band which is also not centered on the middle of the hat. Turns out the hat band has globs of glue under it and was separating from the hat that doesn't matter too much because the entire had was put together wrong creating a bent, twisted, bulging mess from tip to top. Maybe its because of how badly it was constructed but the thing looks really weird on, almost like the crown about 2 inches too tall for the brim but it was I couldn't pull it down further than mid forehead because the top of my head was at the top of the hat (plus it bulges to one side).I am absolutely disappointed and will be starting the return today.
