I bought this item on spec and am really pleased with its performance. I live in a windy part of the country and under a cycling helmet it is pretty much windproof and warm. It fits closely, but isn't tight, so it doesn't leave 'elastic' marks across your forehead when you take it off (important when you're cycling to work and need to look presentable as soon as possible).It washes well in a cool cycle and dries quickly and I would definitely recommend it (any buy it again in the future).

Previously I have used a skull cap, as well as or instead of a thin silk balaclava. That was OK, but this cap covers my ears much better and is lovely and warm as well as being very comfortable. I like the little cut-outs so you can put the side pieces of your glasses through. My only comment would be that I think it would probably be a rather loose fit on a small head. A mate of mine saw me wearing this hat and immediately ordered one for himself.

I used this all winter whilst walking along the Northumbrian coast and up in the mountains. The sunglasses fit easily through the slots at the side and the cap is a snug fit. I even managed to get my earbuds in under the flaps so I could listen to music etc as I walked. The flaps kept the sound of the wind out despite it blowing a hooley. It's been washed several times and still looks like new. Hopefully it can sit in the draw for the summer but it will be used again should the weather turn.

Working in cold weather.

The cap is thin as expected to fit under the bike helmet but I'm very disappointed on the coverage of the ears due to the flaps not being big enough, it wouldn't take much would it? anyway cant be bothered sending it back so Ill give it my daughter as it will fit her head.

There are so many similar items on sale that sometimes makes it difficult to choose which to buy. I went for this and I'm glad I did. It is a good fit and sits comfortably under my helmet, it has been perfect during the recent cold spell, keeping my ears and baldy head nice and warm. The slits provided for glasses are a great idea. It washes well and seems to dry quite quickly. Highly recommended.
