Best stuff around, Great to keep on hand, buy bulk to save
The media could not be loaded. All I can say is this is a must have on hand! I have been keeping fish for over 3 decades and this stuff is great. I use this product in all my tanks and I have several from a 600 gallon SA/CA, 135 gallon African Cichlids, 64 Gallon mixed tank I even use it on my 8000 gallon outdoor Koi pond for any issues that may arise. What this does and does not do. Great for external issues that happens from fish fights, to just running into decorative items etc. Along with numerous other issues. If you are using it treat ICH the product will not kill them from using it, Fish die from ICH because it was treated to late, or you did not increase surface agitation to encourage more 02 entering the water. This like many meds/chemicals are what reducers/removers they will zap another of available 02 which is already a issue for fish with ICH which attacks the gill plates. Personally I recommend the heat method to cure ICH over Meds faster and cheaper and if done soon & correctly it can have a 100% survival rate. If you want to know more about the heat method check out my Amazon profile which has a link to our Fish group. This will not alter PH or damage the cycle.

This stuff works for ich
I'm motivated to write this because I know how hard it is to decide what medicine to use if your "tank" has ich. Yeah I know the fish have the ich. But I would venture a guess that most people just have one aquarium (quarantine tank?, yeah right). So this is the right stuff to use for that!I personally found that their claims that it is less toxic than the other blue medicines is true. So you can use it *every day* and with some of the most delicate fish (for example I use it full strength with small clown loaches). I saved all my clown loaches, rams, and discus (more than once) after the loaches brought in ich. I cured them in one week of everyday treatment. The other stuff you will see is mostly old fashioned (from the 40's - 60's) toxic chemicals. Science has achived a lot since then! Look at these guy's web site. They are surprisingly open and honest about what's in their products. So between that and them saving my fish over and over I trust them.

My go-to external medication
I love paraguard because it's a great overall external medication. It treats a wide range of diseases which is especially helpful for when you don't know what disease you're dealing with. I managed a fish shop and many customers would come in unsure what was wrong with their fish, and unless you're doing a skin scraping; it can be fairly difficult to diagnose sometimes (i.e. being able to distinguish between fungal, gram neg bacterial, gram pos bacterial, etc)Some medications are harder on the fish than the actual disease itself, so I'm weary jumping straight to meds like clout and copper right off the bat. Paraguard is mild enough to use on scaleless fish and inverts, although if you're worried you can start with 1/2 or 1/4 dosage. I have used with saltwater fish, mormyrid, knifefish, snails, crabs; but again just use caution. Safe enough to use in your main tank without wiping out your beneficial bacteria, but may cause cloudiness. I found this product most effective in a bare bottom hospital tank with a daily 25% water change and used for a minimum of 3 days. Can be used as a dip and remember to quarantine your fish!

Useless
Treated ich outbreak with this to no avail for 6 days. Then I ordered a large container of the stuff because Seachem recommends 21-28 days of treatment!! Never got to see if 28 days of treatment would have worked, the large container arrived with broken seal in a soggy blue stained box.

I ALWAYS have this on hand.
I raise flowerhorn, blood parrots, and some other hybrids. I’ve found that using this at every water change helps tremendously in avoiding the dreaded “jelly” or “white poop” that hybrids are more susceptible to. Clean water and prophylactic usage of paragaurd are my recipe for healthy fish. When a fish is received with ick, this stuff does a great job curing it. I buy it by the gallon now. Much cheaper.

Great against ich
Love this product. It is fairly economical. My 125 gal tank occasionally gets ich when introducing new fish. The fish can tolerate daily treatments and it has been fairly effective against the ich in my tanks. However I had to stop putting invertebrates like shrimps in my tank. The medication may kill them. Trying to catch shrimps in a 125 gal tank is not easy.

too diluted, doesn't help
this medication used to be available in a much stronger form, but is now diluted down and it takes 4 times as much, at the same price, to treat my pool. A 1 gal. jug of this used to treat my pond for 4 treatments. Now, it takes 1 gal. for 1 treatment according to the directions and I still needed to use 2 gal. The water used to turn deep blue, but now barely turns a tinted blue color and the fish certainly do not heal as quick.
