Great looking guitar!
I just got this one today. I am loving it even though its not exactly the one I ordered. Ordered the one with a rosewood fingerboard but I am ok with this one as well. The overall feel of the guitar is great. I am still a beginner so I cant tell you much more than it looks and feels good lol.

Do not purchase - item came defective and the seller has not offered an exchange.
I received this brand new from GearTree around the holidays. I've been traveling on business and never had a chance to pick it up. When I recently returned home, I picked it up for the first time to play and there was a cackling noise coming from my amp. I assumed it was my amp so put it down frustrated. My friend came over with his guitar and used the same amp without issue, so I realized it was likely the guitar.I brought it in to a local music shop and it only took two minutes for the owner to tell me the two output wires were just hanging and never soldered (I think that's the term he used). He kindly said he could fix but given how recently it was purchased, suggested that I instead exchange to the vendor in case any other electric or other damage was present. I reached out to the seller who said "sorry - the warranty is expired, but you can bring it in to a local fender to fix". The local fender is not so local.I have never experienced this before and rarely post reviews. This is completely unacceptable. The guitar still has plastic on it and is brand new - despite perhaps being a month over written warranty (see pictures attached, including plastic). Beyond the written warranty there is an implied warranty of merchantability under the UCC rules and this guitar clearly arrived defective. I didn't even ask for a refund. All I asked was for an exchange given I'm not comfortable that other defects might be present - it's like they forgot to finish assembling the guitar! Going forward, I would go to a retailer instead and purchase in person. I will never deal with GEARTREE again - and certainly not online. I hope I've saved at least one future consumer from this frustration by writing this review.(Ironically, I made the purchase to try and learn the solo in Pink Floyd's (well, really Gilmour's at this point) Division Bell song, "High Hopes". So much for that!)

Just as expected love it.
Came in very nice case but small point, wish it was covered in an obscure box. Box that size and shape on the porch with fender on it......

This is THE guitar for THAT sound
This is my eighth guitar, each of which is slightly different. This is the first true Fender Strat I've played (bought some MX Fenders 5 months before, but never played them and traded them in). I have guitars for metal that costs many thousands and guitars for rock that I have had for decades. When I decided I wanted to learn SRV's "Little Wing" I decided that I really want an American made guitar to do it. The build quality is so good. The sculpted contours make this thing so comfortable. I opted for the maple neck instead of the rosewood, sticking with a more traditional Strat look. When I first strummed it, I could tell just how much better this guitar is than what I had traded in.Coming from dual humbucker guitars almost exclusively, the middle pickup takes some getting used to. But this is the nature of playing such guitars. Bottom line - don't compromise. You WILL be happy with this guitar.Oh, and having a TSA approved case came in handy in case I couldn't bring my guitar as carry-on (protip: I did just that).

Solid Fender
The first word that comes to mind is “solid.” This guitar looks and plays great. The dark night finish is even cooler than it looks in pictures. The V-Mod pickups are interesting and the option to add the neck pickup back in, in different switch positions, offers a variety of tones. If you don’t like one setting, it’s likely you’ll find another that you do like. Mine came with a nice case but no tremolo bar. That isn’t really a complaint, but someone might find that info helpful. This is a quality guitar that is on the higher end of the price spectrum but not ridiculously so. It seems to be a good value forthe money.
