Do not buy this product is very dangerous after less than a month to use it burnin burned and burned nylon blue cloth and was lead to burns on the skin and turns into a disaster, I hope Amazon to stop selling this product

I wanted to give this pad a fair shot so I have used it for over a wk before deciding to write this review. I am beyond disappointed in the "quality" of this product.. It is flimsy and with a single use constantly bunched up to the point that it is difficult to even feel heat. I have used SO MANY different types of heating pads as I suffer from chronic neck pain but never one like this.. Its plastic and the cord that comes out of the pad constantly scratches your arm. My last pad was a Sunbeam and worked great for awhile until just a couple wks ago. I tried to find another sunbeam that was similar and affordable, what a mistake! As soon as I took this junk out of the box I almost stuffed it back in and shipped it back without even trying it.. n I wish I would have! But as usual my neck was killing me that night and with no spare pad I reluctantly tried it.. total joke. I've also noticed with each use it bunches up more and more and I cant even really get it flat enough to feel heat now and its only been 8 days... What a waste of money.. I am beyond disappointed! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. You should be ashamed to sell such a crap product.

I own multiple heating pads. I use them for myself, farm critters and plants. Several family members also have this same model. They're cheap, easy to clean, work well and the best feature, no automatic shut-off.This model can also get very hot and cause a burn, so be very careful. With the cover, the vinyl portion provides good protection but if the unit is on a higher setting, direct, prolonged contact with the vinyl surface can cause a serious burn (babies, those with an altered mental status, those on sedatives/narcotics, diabetics, etc. are at high risk).This is an upgraded version and has a longer cord and a new thermoregulator. Instead of three settings, it now has five. The old version had a dial type regulator that was stiff and stayed on the desired setting. The new version has a slide regulator that can easily/accidentally get pushed to another setting. So, again, a warning about the unit burning someone.If you clean the vinyl with soap/hot water or wipe cleaners, over time the vinyl can start to crack. After cleaning, if you apply a bit of oil (I use Armor All) and wipe the oil off well, it will really prolong the surface life.These are great for germinating, incubating and dog beds. They're also great as a foot warmer in the bed. We've also used them to keep food warm on holiday road trips. You just gotta experiment to get the desired temps.I deduced one star because the new slide dial can accidentally got moved way too easily.

bought for my lower back. having pain there. i liked this because i could also bring to work should need be. right now it lives in my work bag and should i need it at home i just grab it out. i like the different heat settings and the length of cord is great. very happy with my purchase. would gladly buy again.I do quite a bit of my shopping online, particularly at Amazon, so like you I depend on reviews to be honest so I can make an informed decision. ALL of my reviews are on products I purchased on Amazon, I have never reviewed an item I did not personally buy ON Amazon. So, I hope this has been helpful for your shopping needs. It does not work and it is not returnable although the order page says I have until Jan 31 2018 to return it. I read a review that said it was not returnable so I spent about 10 minutes trying to find that information and could not, so decided that review was in error, but it was not. The return policy should be stated clearly and I am disappointed in Amazon that it was not and that I have wasted my money on a defective item sold be Amazon itself, not a third party. I should have paid more attention to the reviews, as about 10% of these pads are defective! Regarding the fact that it not returnable, even on the page that is supposed to explain this all it says is that SOME health items are unreturnable and does not specify. I can understand the non returnability of medications, etc, but a heating pad that is defective and doesn't work should not fall into that category!
