“Excellent Sun Protection and Stylish Design - Highly Recommend!”
I recently purchased the Coolaroo 460037 Exterior Cordless Roller Shade in Sesame, and I am thoroughly impressed. The 6’ X 6’ size is perfect for my needs, and the natural fabric blends seamlessly with my outdoor decor. One of the standout features is the 80% UV protection, which has made a noticeable difference in keeping my patio cooler and protecting my furniture from sun damage.Installation was straightforward, and I appreciate the cordless design, which adds to the sleek, clean look of the shade. Despite the absence of a valance, the roller shade still looks stylish and functions perfectly. The durability and quality of the fabric are evident, and it withstands the elements wonderfully.Overall, the Coolaroo 460037 is an excellent investment for anyone looking to enhance their outdoor space with effective sun protection and a touch of elegance. Highly recommended!

Great addition to any porch!
The media could not be loaded. This cordless shade has been on my back porch for 3 years. If you want to be able to sit on the porch when the sun is directly beaming on it, this is the thing you need. It is made of light weight but sturdy canvas like material. It blocks the direct sunlight and is great for summertime parties. It has an easy to use winding rod to quickly move the shade up and down. It comes with two holders that keep the shade from moving in the wind. It is nice to look at whether it is rolled up or down. It took my husband less than an hour to in stall. He said it was pretty easy to install and the sizing was correct. Be sure to measure the area you want covered to ensure full coverage.

Good Shade - Easy to Install & Use
Fast forward to 2025, nearly 7 years later, this shade is in perfect shape - no tears or holes. It still unrolls open and rolls closed smoothly. It filters late afternoon sunlight perfectly. I would definitely buy this brand again if I need another shade.I am using this on the west side of my gazebo to block the strong late afternoon sun. It lets light through, but filters it. It also offers some privacy from my neighbors to the west.My opening is about 7’, so this is a foot short (6” each side), which is more than the toggles will stretch. I bought 10” mini bungee cords to use to tether the bottom edge to the walls. I installed small screw eyes in a couple of places so I can use it half or all the way rolled down. Love the cordless aspect of this shade. Great addition to my deck.

Pretty darn good.
Let me start by saying that I'm a middle aged woman with a fair amount of do it yourself around the house experience. I'm able to tackle most things with basic instructions. My husband doesn't have much do it yourself experience, so his assistance consisted of handing me stuff and running down to the hardware store to get me some different screws, and holding the far end of the shade when the time came to put it on.Now that its up, I like it. But the directions could be more clear. First of all, if you drill the hole according to the directions, you either HAVE to use the plastic wood anchor things (which says they are optional), or get bigger screws. I didn't discover that I couldn't use the wood anchor things until AFTER I had drilled the 3/16" holes. So now the screws were to small. bummer. So I sent my hubby to the hardware store to get longer and one size larger diameter screws, and also opted to get some locking nuts for the backs since I was attaching it to the facia. If you opt to get larger diameter screws make sure you take the bracket with you to ensure that your screw isn't too big to fit through the slot. If you decide to put it on your facia, you will also need a wrench to hold the nut while you tighten the screws. For the winter, I plan to remove the shade portion and put it back in the box it came in to store until next summer. It is very easy to remove the shade part, just like a roller blind would be.By the way, caution whoever is helping you to NOT try to pull the shade down like a roller blind. Always use the winder. It isn't spring loaded like a roller blind. :-)All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase and the price was certainly excellent. I'm also a Prime Member so the shipping was super fast, and free!

Years of excellent service
Years ago, I installed two, six-foot Coolaroo shades over the windows on the back bedroom. I put up a ten-foot, and an eight-foot Coolaroo shade on one side of the 'catio'. Being on the Salish Sea, we occasionally have (literal) gale-force winds; not to mention rain and snow. The shades have withstood the weather very well, and have kept the back bedrooms cooler. The shades in the catio greatly reduce the glare from the white single-wide on the lot next door. We've been so pleased with this product that late last week I put two, four-foot Coolaroo shades over the windows of the front bedroom. They have helped reduce the temperature in the front bedroom against the hot sunlight up here at the 49th Parallel. Today we received a six-foot shade for the front room window.I was able to install all of the shades without help; even the ten-foot one. Installation is very simple. My only complaint is that there isn't enough room on the crank bracket to use my drill. With the latest installation, I found that it's easier to mark the hole locations, and drill the holes without the brackets.Coolaroo shades are easy to install, stand up to Pacific Northwest weather, cool our rooms, reduce sun glare and wind buffeting, and we can still see through them.EDITED TO ADD: I discovered that by removing the crank mechanism, drilling the mounting holes and putting in the screws is a snap. Then just re-install the crank mechanism (2 screws). I wish I'd thought of that before! I hope this note will help others.

Excellent Choice
They were as described. Color was accurate and they were easy to install with ann extra set of hands. They roll up and down quite easy and appears to be durable. They seem true to size and fit well. I am enjoying mine.
