LG 3891ER2003A Genuine OEM Liquid Detergent Container for LG Washing Machines

After a few years, the original one that came with the machine started not to drain properly. Washing it did not help. I saw someone else mention in their review that it's probably a surface tension issue once this wears a bit, and that sounds about right. It's a simple fix, and worked perfectly.

Washer was second hand and part was missing this part fit perfectly.

Replaced my existing container in my LG washing machine.From years of use, the old container was not dispensing all of the fabric softener added to the wash.I had attempted to clean and reset the filtering mechanism without success.Once I replaced the item. This issue was resolved.

So pleased with this purchase. Followed another reviewer’s advice and also turned water pressure down slightly. No more water or detergent left in dispenser after wash cycle is complete, hooray!

*** POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Rinse the blue cup and white piece really well to get all residual soap off of it. Soak in hot water then clean with old toothbrush and q-tips inside white piece and inside & outside tube part of blue cup. Rinse with water. Soak in undiluted vinegar for 5-10 minutes then clean with old toothbrush and q-tips inside white piece and inside & outside tube part of blue cup. Rinse with water. Soak a second time in undiluted vinegar for 5-10 minutes then clean with old toothbrush and q-tips inside white piece and inside & outside tube part of blue cup. Rinse with water. Worked for me.----------This one is legit OEM LG (and Kenmore) liquid detergent cup (NOT a knockoff like other listings) so worth a few dollars more.The listing photo at the time I ordered my wasn't accurate (white middle piece is different than the listing photo). See my photos for accurate photo. Note this one is from the same mold with markings on the bottom as my old OEM detergent cup versus knockoffs don't have that and are made of inferior plastics.Note, LG changed the white middle piece to a wider piece with only the MAX line for liquid detergent so you don't overfill it. The NORMAL line is no longer on it since liquid detergents vary and some are concentrated so always follow the actual liquid detergent directions and use its measuring cap --- just don't ever fill above the MAX line regardless. A lot of people use way too much liquid detergent resulting in long wash cycles (sensors detect if rinse water still has detergent left so prolongs the cycle) and you also risk the washer leaking out the relief valve in the back of the washer if too much sudsing. The bottom line, follow the directions for the HE liquid detergent that you use.I wrote this review after seeing all the knockoff listings and accidentally ordering a knockoff which I am returning. This one is a legit OEM part. Hope this review helps others.

Very happy with this item my washer was not working and I troubleshoot it, and it said to buy this and it worked

This worked just like the reviews said. Can’t explain why the one we had died - could not find any issues with it but the new one dispensed the soap properly. Would highly recommend!
