Simple to use and a whole lot of extras!
I purchased this to get relief from pain in my wrists and it truly helps. It comes with enough lovely scented wax to keep you going for quite some time. Plus you get sticks to stir, a brush to apply, plastic bags to cover your hands and terrycloth mitts to put over the bags to retain warmth. The added benny is your hands come out soft and smell great! Highly recommend this.

A nice larger size with temp control
I use it for my hands but If you have smallish feet you can fit in this. Larger would just have to dip toes first and then heel. It comes with a little paint brush too. Be careful to test the temp. It gets very hot which is a good thing because the wax melts fairly fast. The temp gauge is in Celsius but Oh well. It comes with the wax plus booties and hand mitts and plastic wraps too!

Awful defective product! Buyer beware!
Item completely defective- won’t turn on for more then a second, does not melt the wax, does not match the picture shown on Amazon and the dial doesn’t even have the degrees labeled. Save your money and pick another option that isn’t a complete waste of time.

Check temperature before using! It can get seriously HOT!
Bought this for my wife to help out with her arthritis pain and dry skin. I picked this particular unit because it has a variable thermostat, and not just two separate settings like most units have. The unit melts wax really fast, and that's because it gets CRAZY HOT! It says to melt wax with the thermostat on high (marked as 70, equivalent to 158 deg F on the unit) so that's what I did. I put the 4 packages of wax in the unit, set it to high and left it to sit for a couple hours. When I checked the wax temperature with an infrared thermometer, it read 188 degrees!!! This is hot enough to scald your skin! I only gave it 3 stars for heat because it gets much hotter than it claims this unit will get! So I turned the thermostat down to 55 as suggested in the pamphlet it came with to cool the wax to a usable temp (131 deg F) and let it sit a while. That brought the temp down to where the wax was solidifying on the surface. So I kept turning it up a little at a time to the point where the machine just kept the wax liquified which turned out to be between 128 and 138 degrees (a little below the 60 on the unit) which was a comfortable temperature to use the wax... The unit is kinda small so if you have big feet like I do, forget it. It's roughly 10 inches long and about 8 inches wide. Good for hands but not likely going to work well for feet. The wax it comes with is definitely not high quality wax so I would recommend that if you want this particular unit, buy the unit without the accessories and buy some quality wax separately. It came with thin plastic hand bags and one set of cloth covers for hands and a set for feet, but again, hope you have small feet. Also included were some popsicle sticks and a brush which my wife uses to apply the wax to her knees and ankles.... I would say this is a good starter unit, but I don't think I'd recommend using it without using an infrared thermometer to keep an eye on the wax temp. They are fairly cheap so it's well worth the $15 (Harbor Freight Tools) to keep from potentially burning your hands testing the wax. The description says the unit warms to 158 degrees max, but it definitely heats wax to much higher than that. I don't know if it would have gotten much hotter if I would have let it sit longer, but at almost 190 degrees you can get seriously burned! It's nice that it melts the wax really fast but if you're not careful you can get burned. And if you're looking for directions on how to use paraffin wax, you won't see any in the short pamphlet that comes with the unit. It has no instructions at all on how to use the unit other than "put the wax in the unit, plug it in and turn the unit on. Use the brush to apply wax to skin". It's written in bad translated English so you'll be scratching your head after reading some of it too. But no real instructions on how to use the unit, the wax or the accessories it came with. It's a nice warmer if you want a smaller portable unit that melts wax fast, but you'd better have a thermometer to check the temp of the wax!!!!! Would I recommend this unit? Probably not to anyone who isn't safety conscious. I gave it a 4 star rating because it does have a variable thermostat, it melts wax fast if you're in a hurry, and it's portable. Probably not a good unit if you're looking for one you can dunk your feet in, or if you're absent minded and might forget to check the wax temp before putting your hand in it!!!

Not Bad.
For small hands and feet, this tub will do the job. It has a heat adjustment knob and a small footprint, which is a difficult combination to find. I have a much larger parrafin wax tub that was prescribed to me by my doctor after I broke my wrist and messed up my hand. I've been off therapy for a year, but I missed having soft hands. I didn't want to set that big thing up because it uses a lot of space and I couldn't adjust the temperature. This little kit is a perfect size. Make sure to get your own digital thermometer to check the temperature. The perfect temperature for my heat tolerance is 135F. I like that the temperature can be adjusted and if I set it to MAX, the 6 pounds of wax melts in 1-2 hours rather than overnight with my larger paraffin wax tub. It also auto shuts of to prevent from overheating the wax. I can set it to a low setting to keep the wax warm and melted indefinately. This is something my bigger wax machine could not do. It was either off or on.The plastic bags and brush that come with this machine are terrible, so I made sure to buy better plastic gloves and a silicone brush. The 3 pounds of purple wax that come with it are okay. I have 20lbs of left over paraffin wax prescribed to me by my doctor. There is a max line inside of the aluminum tub. I added 3 more pounds of wax for a total of 6lbs my other tub can hold 12lbs of wax. The more wax, the more tolerable the heat is. Always check the temperature with a thermometer before dipping your hands in.

Everything are great
The price of this paraffin kit is very good, because it contains all the things that paraffin spa needs. There is also a heat shield to prevent scalding, which is a very intimate design. The wax included in it is of very good quality. The wax will have a faint fragrance when heated, and it will melt quickly. It can easily fall off after use. The wax removed from the hand is almost intact without breaking, and the paraffin pot is also easy to clean. love it! !
