This is such a great tank divider. If you read some of the reviews of the mesh dividers, you will see people complaining that after a year some of them start disintegrating and leaving holes in the mesh. There's zero change that will ever happen with this one. It's sturdy, hard, very clear acrylic. Worst case, I suppose it might get scratches in it over time. But it's never going to fall apart and just let fish through. Yes it costs more, but 10 years from now, after you've had to buy several of the other, and this one is still standing strong, you will have paid less.Other pros:- Mesh ones often have clips that prevent the tank lid from closing. Not these.- They threw in a fifth suction attachment that has two extra suction cups on it. So even if something goes wrong with those, you have a perfect fitting spare.- It was an absolute perfectly cut fit for my Aqueon 10 gallon tank. Zero adjustments needed; it just immediately worked.Things to be aware of:There is a thin layer of plastic protecting both sides of the acrylic. It may not be obvious to everyone, but those layers need to be peeled off both sides in order for it to be clear. You may need to pick at it a while to get an edge up, but otherwise it pulls off cleanly. The directions do mention the need to remove these layers, but knowing that some don't read the directions, I thought I would put it here.TLDR; This is has to be the best tank divider out there, and I'm super glad I purchased it.

Best tank aquarium dividers I have ever purchased! Excellent attention to detail and fitting. May be be suitable for small fry, but there are alternatives for that. If you want the divider to reach to the top, place it like the to begin with belt adding substrate. The substrate will cover the bottom portion closing the small gap at the bottom. Use a glass hinged top and you will be in great shape for jumpers.Please don't stop making these! A+++

If you keep fish for a long time, you know there are many different reasons you could find yourself in need of a tank separator. In my case, I introduced a new fish to my tank (same species as the others) that was just too aggressive for the other fish to handle, so I had to create a separate space for that fish. I was worried whether or not this would be a good fit and whether or not it would allow enough water flow through it.- This ended up being a perfect fit for my Aqueon 40-gallon breeder tank.- It allows good water flow through the separator, although I do have my HOB filter on one side and my sponge filter on the other. However, there are no water quality differences I can detect since installing it.- Speaking of installation, it was SUPER easy.- The design is way better than any of flimsy separators they sell at Petco/Petsmart or the ones you have to cut to fit - it's very solid.- I love that it's perfectly clear so that the fish can still interact so they don't feel so isolated.- I was also worried about whether or not food would all gather on one side of the tank due to the filter current, but the separator goes about 1/4 inch above the water line (and I keep the water filled very high), so the top of the separator stops the food from circulating at the top of the tank, so the food doesn't all accumulate on one side.Great purchase, and saved me from having to re-home a REALLY nice (and very expensive) fish. If I could give this product six stars, I would.

All in all it is a great divider. With the suction cups and strong plastic you have pretty much the most sturdy aquarium divider you can get. My oranda was slightly bullying my ranchu in their quarantine tank so I decided to separate them for now until they get moved to the bigger tank. Plenty of holes too so you have sufficient water flow with one filter. To be honest it is a bit pricey for what it is though. I think $15-$20 is a more fair price point for 20 gallon divider.

Fits perfectly in my 55 gallon aquarium. Super easy to assemble, and it looks good.

I wanted to separate my high grade Red/Blue Boa shrimp for breeding but this does not do the trick. Every night two of them sneak past the small gaps at the edges. These are adult shrimp not babies.It's a very nice product but it does not fit perfect enough to keep my shrimp separated.Looks laser cut, very clean edges I just wish it fit tighter to keep my shrimp separated. I'll have to keep them in separate tanks now. I waited a couple weeks for this product and a seemingly premium price since my tank was the same price as this divider.Disappointed as it work for my application.I have a brand new aqueon tanks purchased a few months ago. It's a shame because I have three other tanks in which I wanted to purchase two each of these for a total of 6. I'll have to look at what else is on the market.

Very nice product but petco imagitarium brand won't fit aquaean will fit the devider. But waiting to see if they make them to fit petco imagitarium brand fish tank. But I do like the quality of the 1 they sent me.

I love this little wall. But if you have fry or smaller young fish, they can get through the edge of the wall through the glass of the aquarium on the Sides. I had my Betta on one side and my mollies on the other. I ended up taking it out since my mollies (they were 4 months old) were able to keep getting through. Now I am just using it for my Hermit crab tank as a shelf so he has more climb space. 10/10 for that. The suction cups will suction to any wall going vertical or horizontal.
