Do it right and don't use the cheaper Chrome-steel version. Use heavy duty 17GA solid brass/chrome plated. No rusting! Pay a little more but you won't be replacing it every few years. I had to saw off my rusty steel ones. I replaced all of mine around my house with HD 17GA solid Brass. (Btw, 24GA is thinner brass than 17GA)

This tailpiece installed without issue and serves as a drop-in replacement for the decade old failed fitting it replaced. Only time will tell if this new piece will pass the longevity test.

Exactly I was looking for my under the kitchen sink with dishwasher connection for bosch 800 series dishwasher drain. It's 17 guage heavy duty pipe.

Easy to install! And to prevent leaks in the near future, it can be tightened a whole lot more than the dinky PVC counterparts sold at hardware stores. I adapted the 7/8" tailpipe inlet to work with a washing machine drain hose and it works perfectly.
