MSYU Hamster Exercise Wheel - 8.7in Silent Running Wheel for Hamsters, Gerbils, Mice and Other Small Pets (Clear)

I don’t think any hamster wheel is completely silent, you have to expect some noise, but I have bought three others before this one that we’re supposed to be silent. I expected them to just be quiet, not totally silent. They were really noisy though. Two of them were more expensive than this one and were so loud. Rattled all night, squeaked all night, even when I put oil on them. One of them kept falling over several times a night too. So I was really sceptical when I was considering buying this one. But after seeing the reviews I decided to give it a try. And I’m so glad I did. This wheel is so quiet. I have it attached to my cage, but with the stand still standing on the bedding. So that it is basically free standing. But anchored down with the extra bolt that you use to attach it the cage side. I’ve seen others have hung it upside down. But I kept it the right way up. And because it is bolted to the side it doesn’t move, rattle or fall over. And I can’t hear the wheel spinning at all. No squeaking. I only hear little footsteps from my hamster. I bought the biggest size for my Syrian hamster and he absolutely loves it. It’s definitely big enough for him, his back doesn’t arch when he’s running on it. And it is really easy to wipe clean. I will definitely be buying another for my dwarf hamster.

We wanted a bigger wheel for our Syrian hamster since the ones with the cages are far too small. At first I tried a large wooden one because they are the full size recommended for such hamsters, but I was appalled at the workmanship of the one I received (through Amazon) and sent it back when it fell apart on receipt! But this wheel - it's not just quiet, it's truly silent. The noise you hear when the hamster is using it is the pitter patter of his feet only! It just feels and looks well designed and well made. Now the assembly instructions are in Chinese lol, but the diagram is not beyond the wit of man to decipher fortunately so it turned out not to be an issue. Also, cunning tip, the hole for securing the stand to the cage is very low - too low if your cage has a plastic base like ours. But you can simply rotate the stand 180 degrees and fix it above the wheel and it basically becomes a little extra area for the hamster to sit on.

The wheel came apart from use, came right off the axis. I will not deny it is quiet and well made but it is dangerous because it comes apart during use.They need to fix this issue or stop selling it.

Previously had a wooden wheel for my hamster that she LOVED to pee in and it was impossible to clean it, it was stained and stinky. This wheel is soooo much easier to clean and dry, I can take it out, wipe it down and have it back in her cage in 2 minutes, so little disturbance to her.Was a bit concerned that it might be too small for my Syrian, but her back doesn’t arch when she runs so all good!Wheel is also super quiet too which is ideal!!Our previous wheel had a more solid base, this one will migrate a few mm across the cage during the night when she runs very fast on it. Not an issue, unless of course it bumps in to the side of the tank, or something else that’ll make a racket. This is mainly an issue for us as she’s housed in a glass tank, however if you were to attach this wheel to a bar cage you probably wouldnt have this issue.This wheel requires assembly and came with everything needed. One of the washers provided was too small to fit over the main screw but luckily I had one the right size hanging about. Something to potentially be aware of!

The media could not be loaded. Very big wheel, my very large hamster loves this wheel, easy to assemble, it spins great and is very quiet. The video was the first time he used it. Would highly recommend 10/10.

Really slick and I was initially impressed with the design - freestanding or attached to the cage by hanging upside down.However, disappointingly after 2 months use by a delighted hamster the plastic screws that join the base to the wheel have failed and not possible to retighten. I might see if I can get replacements, else it's the bin and I have to break the news to the furry guy.

We've tried all sorts of wheels, ones which rattled the bars of the cage all night, flying saucer disc which Nugget just looked at and went nowhere near, a mostly silent wheel which was a great size but constantly fell over, a giant wheel which was really clunky and didn't turn properly. Our poor hammy hasn't had a wheel for a while and I felt sorry for him.So as a last resort I bought this one, and I'm sooo glad I did. As soon as I put it in his cage he jumped in and started running and appears to really like it. It's sturdy, looks like it won't ever fall over, runs really well, and is totally and completely silent! All you can hear is tiny feet.Definitely recommend this wheel.

The media could not be loaded. My gerbils love their new wheel, and I do too! It's completely silent even when they really go for it on their run! The only sound in the video example is his brother chewing one of his toys and me saying "good boy" as you can see. Lovely wheel similar to expensive brands, works and looks the same except isn't so expensive! Highly recomend.
