Nice wallet, after I fixed it
Well, that didn't take long. I had this wallet in my pocket for less than 4 hours and already that metal Swiss emblem made my behind sore. What a poor design decision. They do realize men are not throwing this thing in a purse and that we have to sit on it, right? Talk about having a "burr in your saddle", this is it.How are you supposed to orient that emblem to prevent it from causing pain or damage when you put it in your pocket? The way I see it these were the options:1) Place emblem on the bottom (wallet slot up), emblem towards my body. This places it in a high pressure area where the majority of your weight is transferred to the seat. I tried that and have a sore rear end to show it.2) Place emblem on the bottom, facing away from my body. I think it would have worn a hole in every pair of pants I own.3) Place the emblem on the top, facing either towards my body or away. While this gets it to a lower pressure area, it means that the wallet is upside-down every time I pull it out of my pocket. Not going to work.4) Tuck the flap with the emblem on the inside, placing the flap from the opposite side on the outer-most position. I think the pressure this would apply to any cards in that opposite flap would have damaged them.My solution? Remove that offending thing. Luckily it was easy to do because, honestly, the attachment method was weak. I just grabbed it with a pair of pliers and pulled. The two metal tabs holding it in straightened and out it came. Of course, there was a backing plate still inside the wallet. I had to make a small incision to the liner and slide it out. See photo for the results. Now I have a nice wallet. This is how it should have been from the start. Regarding some of the complaints other reviewers had regarding how tight the card slots are, they are not that bad in my opinion. I can easily insert or remove cards without them slipping from my grasp due to the resistance. While the wallet with my modification is now a 5 star item, I can only give it 4 stars as sold.

The perfect tri-fold wallet
This Alpine Swiss Mens Trifold Wallet made with Genuine Leather is THE CHOICE if you want a thin tri-fold wallet. I've ordered 2 other wallets of different brands and returned them for reasons may reviewers have listed for other wallets. It holds 6 plastic credit/etc. cards, several paper cards, and a small number of bills, and the wallet folds flat and is a tad less than 1/2" thick. The cards fit tightly but not so tight to cause any problem with removing them. The leather is substantial and high quality, the entire thing well made, and the center clear plastic window is convenient in the center rather than on one of the side panels. There is no divider in the bill compartment, which helps keep the wallet thin. This is the perfect wallet, and very surprised that its price is the lowest tri-fold wallet on Amazon. Highly recommended.

Sturdy, attractive wallet
The leather is thick but not bulky and textured but not grainy. It is very slim. It is about a half inch larger all around than any other traditional men's wallet I have owned. I like the Swiss logo but not it's slight protrusion; this is a matter of taste. The RFID protection seems to work so far as the chip in my transit card does not register at it's corresponding machines through the wallet as it did with a normal, thick leather wallet. After a lot of searching and comparison I am confident I made the right decision because I love this wallet.

RFID-blocking feature not apparent.....
The wallet is great ....But I’m confused by the RFID blocking feature. My “gate access” cards work just fine from within this wallet, just by holding the wallet up to the reader. So ... *what* exactly is being blocked? I wasn’t even aware that RFID-blocking was a feature of this wallet when I ordered it.I was worried when I got the wallet, because it would be a pain to take the access card out every time to use it.But ... no problem! The system reads the access card just fine from within the wallet. So again .... What is being “blocked?”

Made To Last
I bought my first Swiss Alpine in 2015.. "the brown one" I am incredibly impressed how long it has lasted, It does take a little time to break in but when it does it really is ready for the long haul. The material is quality and seems to hold up well and for along time.I only am trying another becuse the clear pocket where my the ID goes is become a little faded and pulled up a little in the corner.Time will tell if its still a good product!? .. so far I think it will be.
