Glad I got it!
I’m a DIY’er and not a professional but I’ve been wanting to practice on other hands then my own. I had my eye on the YN’s hand but did not want to pay the price tag. I’m glad I did my research because this hand is the SAME EXACT hand and tips that YN sells, for half the cost. The hand feels durable and well made. It does not feel like cheap plastic to me. The fingers and joints move around like a real hand would. I’m able to attach the hand to my desk so I have the hand nice and sturdy when I am practicing. I’ve noticed from other reviews that people say the nails pop out, but as long as you CLICK THE NAILS INTO THE FLESHY PART, (2-3 clicks) and make sure to hold the nail like you would on a person when filing, you will not get the tips popping out.The tips it comes with are a variety, and again I’ve seen people complain that they’re broken or have notches in them. That is intentional as all nails are not the same nor are they perfect. They are to simulate different types of nails. I actually appreciate the variety of sizes as well, because not all nails are the same exact size. The online program they give you is totally dated and obviously you do not get all of the nail art products that they use in the video. So I pretty much found that part useless to me personally. I’m subscribed to Kirsty Meakin on YouTube anyway.Overall I think if you are looking for a nail practice hand, this is the one to get.

I love this the second I got it!
I adore the Nail Trainer. It's ridiculously helpful and surprisingly doesn't take up a lot of room on my nail desk. However, if it takes up a lot of room, it can simply be removed from wherever you have it anchored. The product comes with a lot of information on nail courses, how to use the nail, and provides links to learning material which is super helpful. It also comes with a little board you can clip the nails you've finished on to see your progress and provides a small refill of the nail tips. The hand and connecting arm are very rigid and hold their spot wherever position you move it to. Sometimes you might lose some rigidity in the thumb or a finger but overall it's going to sit where you place it. The nail tips are easy enough to put in and remove and you do get some freedom for how far into the rubber fingertip you want the nail tip to sit to simulate different client's nail bed depths. The nail tips available also come with different types of nails (bitten nails, nails with damage etc) which really allow you to practice the different nails you'd see on clients. Some of the cons I noticed is that same rigidity that makes working on the hand so wonderful can also be super frustrating when attempting to place the hand and nails into a LED/UV lamp for gel curing (depending on your lamp and hand setup on your workspace). There also isn't a lot of motion you can get in the middle of the arm when attempting to position; a majority of the movement really comes from the wrist and down at the base where the arm connects to the table. Lastly, the nail tips can be reusable but you'd have to file them down carefully (which is completely possible, just like an actual fill on a person) which means you're more than likely going to need to keep buying the nail tips. They aren't incredibly expensive and do come in bulk packs but keep that in mind when purchasing. However, this is all workable and, while sometimes frustrating, can be solved by physically moving the whole arm or by reworking your station setup. Overall, those complaints are minor in comparison to the product as a whole.I'd highly recommend this product to anyone learning nail enhancements, be it the hobbyist or nail tech in training, as well as people who want to practice nail art in general!

Good brand, great practice!
I have two practice hands, this brand (by the original maker) and one made by Pana. I use the Pana hand in cosmetology school and I use this brand at home. I like the original by Essential Nails much better, though it is about twice as expensive now. It feels more flexible, not as stiff as the Pana hand. It also feels like it's put together better, sturdier, like it will hold together longer. I get great practice out of both, though, and am glad I made this investment.

Refills are pricey but overall great quality
The quality is great. I was the envy of school. I probably sold a few of these for you. Now that I'm looking for replacement nails to continually keep up my skills between clients I'm sort of choking on the price. Also there was no online class it was a qr code to a YouTube channel that gives you a basic tutorial of how to use tha hand. Honestly I was here for the hand and it served me well.However.The refills are pricey. I wanted to mostly practice art and smile lines and to use for display now. It would be nice to have some basic refils.no special fill nails or broken.. for $20.00 you get a 100 nails.. 20 of each 5 types. For me doing the math I'd maybe use 60 out of the 100.20 cents per nail ends up being. Mmmm not a very good price. More than 30 cents a nail. 😅 it just too much my friends. Especially when you don't plan to reuse them. But keep them as a finished piece to display. In all honestly if your a broke cos student like I was ( still broke because im newly graduated) it's more affordable in the long run to get an $80 silicone hand that you can just insert cheap nail tips into with some never dry clay. Thesw hands usually come with a plastic ring that hooks right onto a mannequin stand. It also gives you the benefit of proximitol fold and how to manipulate them. I do love this hand. If you're not worried about these things. I highly recommend this hand

Top quality, great price!
I bought this for my daughter, she has been extremely happy with this product! I am a nail tech myself and I almost got the young nail trainer because the others seemed so cheap. But I found this one here on Amazon and it is all of the quality I had hoped for and more. It has different problems with the replacement tips that you have to fix. Very good product for the price!!

Excellent Practice Hand
I am a qualified Nail Technician and do nails for family, friends and neighbours part time. I have tried various practice hands similar to this, and can honestly say, this hand is excellent value for money. It is sturdy, is made of a hard prastic which has been well put together, and moves quite easily. Rotation is excellent, just like a real customer, when you practice. Unlike the others ive tried, this hand actually holds the nail inserts in place. Many of the others continually pop out and the practice therefore becomes frustrating.I used it for the first and practiced various ombre powders. The inserts never moved out of place once.I should also say the hand tightened firmly to my desk and no issues there either.I cant recommend this practice hand enough. It is a fabulous buy for beginners and part timers like myself. It is a joy to work on, and will give many many hours of pleasurable practice.
