Corelle Livingware 8-1/2-Inch Divided Dish, Winter Frost White

I purchased the 8 1/2 inch Divided Dish, and I believe it is the perfect size! The dividers prevent foods from touching, but it is likely that the food will end up touching when pushed around with a fork or spoon, so it might not be suitable for picky eaters who don't like their food touching at all.I purchased 4 of these, and stacked together, they take up approximately an inch and a half in height, which is amazing compared to my current plates, which probably take up an inch per dish. I could fit 20 of these no problem into my cabinet, and they will probably fit better in the dishwasher too!I thought at first these dishes might be made out of melanine, which I do not like due to formaldehyde leaching. However, they are made from Vitrelle, a specific type of glass that is break and chip resistant. There's even a clip on How It's Made that shows the process!The sticker peels off easily and in one piece, and I feel comfortable handling them and stacking them on each other without worry that they will break.These are my first Corelle dishes, and although they are more expensive than my previous dishes, which were like $1 each from Bed, Bath & Beyond, I think I will be giving my old dishes away and buying exclusively Corelle dishes! I love them!

I initially bought the 10" plates and my husband loves them, but they are too large for me and the children. My 4 year old loves that they keep the food from touching ; ). I also found them to be just perfect for portion control and I have been using them myself as they automatically give you the perfect smaller portion- The meat section hold just about 3-4 oz. of meat, and the veggie and starch sections hold about 1/2 cup each- perfect for a low-cal balanced meal. They look great and they never seem to chip, even if dropped. If you are looking for large dishes for hearty servings, get the larger ones, but if you are looking for a nice plate for kids or for the smaller appetite, this is it.

I was really looking for a ceramic divided container, something like a bento box, to heat and transport meals to my 91-year old mother who lives next door. I ordered the 10 1/2 inch version of this, but it wouldn't fit the pie plate carrier I use to carry the meal over. This one fits perfectly.Both of them are excellent for warming a complete meal in a microwave and avoiding bleed-ins of, say, the peas and the cornbread which happens on a regular plate and yields a soggy mess. This works perfectly, and Corelle is a very durable product. I once dropped one from about arm height onto a hard commercial vinyl floor and had it bounce! It is easy to clean and hard to stain. Perfect!

I love the stackability of Corelle, and these food compartments while I stick with a 9" plate, eating method! Keeps me in line for smaller portions. Great for lunches. Bought two; one for my husband and one for me, for casual dining, every day. Same durability and cleanability of the Corelle line of dishes!

The plate is good, but it’s not for an adult. The size is too small. But you are an adult and you eat the portions on the plate, you will definitely be skinny in no time. The only problem is that it’s a snack portion and I ended up eating several rounds, defeats the purpose. Would have loved it if it was a teeny bit bigger.

Bought this to help with portion control and it works perfectly! The size will easily handle smaller dinner portions, and the plate easily looks "full" with smaller food amounts on it. (satisfying both the eyes and the tummy). And you can't go wrong with corelle... sturdy, light, fresh and clean. Just feels nice! Love this plate and will put it to good use daily!

I didn’t realize how tiny the plate was until I opened the package. It’s more of a small child size of plate. I’m a fit woman in my 40’s and I couldn’t see myself using this tiny plate as I’d have to refill it two or three time. This plate (8.5”) is way too small for anything other than dessert or a small, side salad. Too small for a main meal for an adult! I decided to return the unsuited item and purchase a larger size. I’d like to warn you: returning this item to the seller is not free as is he case of many other items on Amazon. I didn’t read the seller’s return policy that states that you as a buyer will for shipping it back and the 15% restocking fee. So for the single plate that cost me almost $20 I got a refund of $12.51 Ouch! (I returned it a few days after the purchase). I wish the seller would post a photo of the actual plate next to some kind of common object such as a cell phone or a banana...I’m telling you this is a kids size plate so be aware before purchasing it!

We have everything in white that Corelle has made and we love all of it-but this is our favorite. My hubby and I had gotten in habit of filling our plates (too full)and over eating especially at supper/dinner time. He is a diabetic and is now over weight so this smart little plate is helpng us eat what we should. I thought he would hate it but it is kind of a challenge to arrange our food on the plate, it looks good and honestly we are satisfied when done. We are very pleased and I think you would like it too-it just takes a little getting use to and like anything you do in life-make it FUN for you and your family and that helps make healthier families.
