As a child seeing people with no hair besides men was strange to me. I believe the children who will play with all these new dolls released by mattel with sooo much diversity available from different body types to different skin colors to physical disabilities/etc... there will be more children impressioned to accept and love one another, to not point out flaws and to be more comfortable and accepting towards others whether they be in a wheelchair, have a fake leg, burns on their face, a fake arm, a bald head/etc... These new dolls will help shape young minds in acceptance and understanding. I grew up with the 90's and early 2000's barbies, there wasn't as must diversity as there is now. The quality was better back then however, but I'm sooo proud of mattel and eternally thankful to them because my daughter will grow up with these dolls and see that everyone is different, no one is perfect and we are all unique. This bald barbie can represent mant things, especially cancer awareness. I redressed my doll and she looks amazing! Bald head and all! I love the quality of this doll, she is sooo affordable and makes a lovely gift! I highly recommend picking up this beauty!

I got this doll to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in our area. They take care of a lot of kids with cancer and I wanted to help out on what I could afford. The doll is beautiful and perfect for kids dealing with hair loss.

The EXTRA dolls are very popular right now, I purchased them, and this Barbie Fashionista to add to my collection. When I took her out of the cute pink plastic case, I fell in love with her, nice round head, wide smile, and caramel skin tone. She is adorable, diverse, and extremely unique. The soft floral print dress gives her an even more innocent, cutesy appeal.However, I wish she were poseable OR even had the option to bend her limbs to properly sit BUT she is awesome and will be spoiled by me. I've already paired her with Rocker Derek as the best of friends.The price is right and perfect for collectors, precious little girls, and anyone that is inspired by her beauty.Note: She does not come with a blue purse.

I gave this doll to my sister for her BD. She is a Gulf War Vet that now has a condition where her hair follicles died because of some compound/chemical she was exposed to. Unfortunately, the US government/military doesn’t think it’s bad enough for her to get 100% disability for (even though it’s irreversible damage)…but I digress. Anyway, She loves this doll. And I gave her some hoop earrings so now they are twins. She said: “BEST GIFT EVER” with tears in her eyes. I didn’t mean to make her cry, but I was glad she was so happy.

I bought this barbie for my 7 yr old granddaughter because her dog chewed the one she had. She cried because she loved her memaw doll. I have alopecia. She was elated to have a replacement.
