Let me first say I didn't receive these for free nor to I get $ in any way, shape or form for my review. Moving on...I despise woodpeckers. Not because I have anything against their existence, but like mice they are destructive pests! At my property we have lots of woodpeckers around and they will pound holes in your house and laugh at you while they fly away only to return to destroy your siding and soffits when you aren't looking.While I still plan to upgrade my siding and soffits to repair the thousands of dollars woodpeckers have done on my property of the years, that comes at huge cost. And while saving up to do that, I needed something to deter them in the meantime. I've tried the shiny object approach, pepper sprays, and those useless sonic devices all without any success. One day as I was surfing on Amazon I came across these and thought I'd give them a try. I screwed them to the house where they were active and to my shock and surprise, no more woodpeckers!!! It's nuts I tell you. Perhaps it depends on exactly what woodpeckers your fighting, but in central WA state, these work! They also don't look terrible. Luckily my wife is a bird lover and kinda likes having them around.I do see the paint failing on them over time, and they may need to be touched up. No big deal. But beyond this they seem to be decently made.

I attached this to a section of birch trunk of a tree that fell down and turned it into a fun accent table next to my sofa. The bird I attached near an actual woodpecker hole in the stump and added plexiglass rounds for the table top and then moss accents. I love the results and the metal woodpecker was the perfect accent to the artwork of the table.

I am pleased with this faux bird. Hope it works to keep the real woodpecker from destroying my porch post. I worked so hard covering the holes from other bird invasion. It's been years since I fixed the post. I don't know why it came back this year. I recommend that you should have aluminum siding or post that aren't hollow for the bugs to move in and feed the birds

I thought the metal material was of a real good quality. It’s lifelike and cute. There is a spot for one nail or screw to attach it to a tree or post.

Woodpecker just thought it was his bigger brother. No effect on keeping them away. Gave 3 stars because it's is a beautiful decorative piece.

I absolutely love the brightness of the colors used. The material used to create him is spectacular and he'll be hanging in my Magnolia tree for years to come. The hook on the bottom made it super easy to hang. The birds in the area thinks it's real so it's fun to see them come to the tree to it. The value for my money is incomparable. It's fun for me to watch and it's performance will give me delight for years to come
