HP EliteDesk 705 G5 Mini PC (Latest Model) Ryzen 5 PRO 3400GE 16GB DDR4 RAM 256GB PCIe SSD Wireless AC+BT Windows 10 Pro (Renewed)

I can't see from the inside or outside that this computer has ever been used even one day. It looks brand new. The fans inside look brand new. Everything inside and out looks brand new. It came with one Samsung 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM stick, so I bought a matching 16 GB stick to add to the empty RAM slot. It came with VGA port, in addition to the 2 DP ports, so removed the VGA port and ordered a $14 DP module to replace it to have 3 monitor support. It came with a Kioxia 256 GB NVME drive so I cloned that and replaced it with a Gen 4, 1 TB NVME drive and moved the Kioxia 256 GB NVME drive to the Gen 2 slot. There are two M.2 NVME slots (1 Gen4 and 1 Gen2) but installing 2 NVME drives requires removing the SSD drive bay. All the USB and other ports feel like they've never been used before. There is no BT/Wi-Fi module inside but there is a slot for one. The antennae leads are there too but are essentially impossible to attach to a Wi-Fi module as I attempted it and utterly failed trying. I do not recommend anyone to attempt it. There's a 2.5" SSD bay inside as well. Windows 10 Pro booted up instantly and updated itself and I updated the BIOS. Windows was already registered and then I updated to Win 11 Pro for free. I also replaced Microsoft's Radeon Vega 11 driver with AMD's own Radeon Vega 11 driver which is from 2024. The chassis is all metal and built like a tank on the inside and out. This computer's hardware and software all runs flawlessly. Everything installed on it and in it works like new. I have no complaints. All hardware was exactly as listed.

I ordered 2 of these and they worked great and were exactly what what listed, so I ordered a 3rd . It didn't work so great. After contacting the seller they replaced the item and even sent me a return shipping label. I would/will buy from them again.

Everting look fine, I spent about 15 hours updating the software to windows 11. I wasn’t able to make the WiFi to work on windows 10 or 11, even though it show all the WiFi in the area, it doesn’t connect to the internet.

The HP Elitedesk 705 G5 Mini computer arrived well packaged and looking to be in good condition, but when setup and used, it would shutdown after 5 minutes. Support from the vendor was time consuming and painful as it is done via email and so took days! It took a call to Amazon to get them to admit that the product was defective and I requested a replacement - a process that was also time consuming and a nightmare both with the 3rd party vendor and Amazon support! So much for their A-to-z Guarantee! If it's from a 3rd party Amazon has no control over the replacement or return process and you are left to the mercy of the vendor. A word of advice, DO NOT BUY a renewed computer from Amazon if it is not "fulfilled" by Amazon! Even so at best it's cross your fingers and pray

The package arrived. Inside the box was the device arrived (wrapped in an inflatable shockproof bubble bag), along with a keyboard, mouse and charger (apparently generic). It came with a USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapter. The device came with a Ryzen 5 3400G. It has Windows 10 installed. It came with an NMVe (it has two slots for two m.2 NVMe) 256GB Samsung and 16GB (8GBx2). It also has 2 displayport ports and 1 VGA. At startup the device did not detect my two monitors (only 1 monitor) by DP, I had to update the ADM drivers and it detected both. It can be upgraded to Windows 11 with no problem. You cannot use two m.2 NVMe and one SSD or HDD at the same time, you must choose to use the 2 m.2 NVMe (or 1 m.2 NVMe left and the SSD/HDD) or use only one SSD or HDD.

This thing is like the little engine that could. For the price, I don’t think you can beat it. Keep in mind, there are a few drawbacks. It doesn’t have built in wifi, and it comes with a sketchy Chinese dongle. I recommend buying a reputable third party wifi dongle. Also, the storage is small so you might want get an external hard drive.

First, I got this from Greentoptech. The computer was exactly as listed, including RAM, processor, integrated wireless, additional VGA port, etc. This is significant, given experience with other vendors under these renewed listings. Computer is clean and fully functional, as far as I have used most of the ports. Win 11 Pro update installed flawlessly. Came with a fast Samsung SSD. Included a new USB keyboard and mouse branded by Greentoptech, which I didn't expect and kind of don't need. Added to the pile...Packing was adequate, and shipping was very quick across the border. All in all, perfect.

While the balck lump on the back does signify the wifi antenna is included, the WiFi card is either missing or the antenna is damaged. Installed Nobara Linux and Kodi for video playback. Kodi reports the CPU to be the 3400G, not the GE. I'll need to get it open to check the WiFi card. Does appear that the 2.5" caddy is included but empty. Info Center reports a Samsung SSD.
