Bought these for my son and I to use on a canoeing trip into the Boundary Waters and these did not disappoint. We spent 5 days sitting on our butts in the canoes and these provided a nice amount of cushion while being ultra light weight. While not being used in the canoes, we also used them to have a clean place to sit around a campfire and I used mine as a “floor mat” just outside my hammock so I had a place to step and keep my feet clean before putting my shoes on. Super happy with the buy and I would recommend to anyone else.

Reality check, good for what they are, a thin insulating layer. Not a thick, comfortable cushion.Good for sitting on a cool surface, or kneeling at a water source, or for a little extra insulation or support in the night or as a place to sort small stuff.Not a thick soft cushion, but the tradeoff is that they are small, light weight, cheap and have little bulk. That comprimise is important to backpackers.My intended use is a little extra help under pressure points, like the hip, laying down at night, where I need a little extra insulation or support when on another, larger foam pad without bringing a 2nd pad, or (heavan forbid) trimming a large one down to torso size. A plus is that the pattern of eggcrate is not the same, will not line up with or disappear into, the larger pad, that allows full use of the thin material, adding cushion and insulation. Can be folded fkat, in half or 4 folds high to customimze use Small enough for several to pack easily into and around my backpack.I bought 4 of the blue for about $20.00 or 5 bucks each. As to durability, only time will tell.Looking ahead, I can see using one as an inner, top layer inside a cooler come summer.

I Wanted something small and light yet reasonably comfortable for flying on Frontier Air. Their seats are el cheapo, and this worked very well. Its weighs practically nothing, and folding easily into my carry on. It fit on the seat well, amd provided a nice layer of extra cushion! I used it also at the airport to sit on the floor and enjoy a meal during a busy time. It made the noticeably more comfortable than without. Its an inch shy of one foot on all sides I believe. Just enough for a large bootie. Plenty for my average size. Had it just for thag trip so far, so I can't speak to durability. But it seems on point from the material and construction for things like it in that category.

Simple to pack and makes a difference vs sitting on the hard ground or a rock. Great for backpacking.

Light weight and perfect for putting on ground, hard picnic table seat, bleacher, etc. will be taking it on a hiking trip to keep overall weight to a minimum.
