A highly recommended book.
A readable account of the Kissinger- Nixon support of Pakistan during the genocide in East Pakistan. The Indian desperate attempt to mobilise world financial/moral support and its inabilities in coping with nearly 6-7 million refugees. The book is based on research and declassified documents. The author has covered the human factors in decision making and in grained prejudices in psyche. The book however, is not a military strategy volume into the 1971 Indo-Pak conflict. A highly recommended book.

Niixon and Kissinger out of control
I think it is a very revealing exposure of what Nixon and Kissinger were really like when they were in office. Self centered, immoral, and arrogant. They broke U.S. Law many times at will. It took some luck and bravery on the part of the Bangladeshi residents to shake of the brutal suppression from the West Pakistani junta. America, who supported Pakistan thick and thin, is now realizing their real nature from their experiences during the Afghan War, and sheltering of Osama Bin-Laden.A must read.

Interesting perspectives and great read
It's a great read, firstly. But more importantly it shows that bloody period from different perspectives - that of the Nixon administration, the Dhaka consulate and also the Indira Gandhi administration.
