Q: Where I work we deal with a lot of sodium hydroxide and other acids a long with bleach will these boots withstand those chemicals?

Unfortunately, I cannot say how they will hold up with acids. My husband's work place is pretty acid free. I can say they do well around bleach, as he uses that very often. The biggest selling point- they are comfortable and roomy.

Q: I wear 8.5 regular should I order 8.5?

Order a 9 so you have space for insoles and thick working socks.
