Skip the adhesives that come with it. Use a hot glue gun. No issues if you do.

I agree with the other reviews about the sticking problem. The metal plate adhered to my humidor lid perfectly, but the magnet won’t stick to the holder. I followed the directions and it fell off in less than 24 hours. I cleaned the holder with isopropyl alcohol and tried again and got the same result. Next I sanded the finish off the area where the magnet would attach, cleaned it with alcohol, placed a spacer inside the holder and clamped it for 24 hours. This time it lasted 2 weeks before it fell off again. Currently I’m waiting for the Gorilla glue epoxy I used to harden and hopefully that will work. It is a nice looking product but the adhesive is definitely garbage.

Edit: I took off two stars because after several days, the damn thing wouldn't stay attached to the lid and gets worse as time passes. Both the magnet and velcro adhesive let go. Magnet detaching from the wood substrate and the velcro from or the holder attachment. Soooo I'm trying to find a workaround. ... What I like: Holds 2 60g Boveda packs nicely and has a lower profile than the wood Boveda (ie more room for cigars). Mine came with both velcro and magnetic attachments which work perfectly. When removing the holder to exchange the packs the magnet releases first/easily then the velcro pulls loose (position your holder so you remove it in this order). Tip ... when first installing the holder, flip your humidor upside down for 24 hours allowing the adhesive backing for the magnet & velcro to "set" without gravity working against the process.

Great solution for those tired of messing with liquids. I bought this one because I realized the wooden one is very deep and may take up a lot of space in small to midsize humidors.

Great holder for your large boveda packs. I’m using it in a pelican 1300 case and it sits in the lid perfectly ( remove the top foam of course). Only thing is the magnet adhesive didn’t stick to the box. It’s a smooth plastic should have stayed. Instead I used 3M command strips it’s not going anywhere.
