Makes the noises!
Installed and works very well on my 2008 SR5.Nothing crazy, this is a cold air intake, so dont expect 50 more HP.However it does feel like I got 5-10 more and it makes cool noise when you stomp on the gas.

Prime membership saved me 👍
Love this cold air intake. Placed on my 2012 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior. I purchased a ‘used in great condition). Came packed well, looked like someone installed and changed their mind. One small screw that hold the air flow sensor had been cross threaded. I called Amazon and as a Prime Member, Amazon stood behind the warranty! Thanks Amazon, I was very appreciative as I was a bit aggravated as I had to pull the thing off and re tap the home and use lock tight.

Meh. Requires the stock intake.
My biggest complaint about this intake is that it requires you use the stock air filter box. This may not be problematic for most, but if you are replacing an after market intake like I was, it's a deal breaker. Thankfully I had my entire stock intake in storage for 5 years so I was able to use it but it would have been nice to find that out before I ripped apart my existing intake with nothing to replace it with. If you plan on selling your stock intake on ebay/craigslist...this is not for you.I replaced my volant intake because of it's poor design. Every time I would get my truck serviced they wouldn't reattached the filter properly and it would fall off letting unfiltered air in until I remember to check it. As far as performance difference between the two, there is none. They sound essentially the same and there is no noticeable hp difference. As for MPGs, when I reset my monitor I was at a 3 month average of 14.2. Nearly all of which was to/from work in medium/heavy highway traffic. On my 20 mile trip home from work on a traffic free holiday weekend Sunday, I only averaged 13.6. Too early for a definitive answer but it's pretty obvious my mpgs have been severely impacted.Overall quality is better than the Volant but considering there is no noticeable difference I would say it's a waste of money. Especially given the fact that it's the most expensive intake available for the Tundra and requires you to use your stock parts. Basically you're paying $450 for an air filter and a cover that says TRD. This intake also requires you to cut into your hood liner and engine cover to fit correctly.Considering Tundras come with "cold air" intakes from the factory, unless you're planning on supercharging it, you're probably better off just buying an aftermarket filter and saving yourself $400.
