The trilogy in a good cardboard box. I had already read these books on my Kindle in Australia but when I came to India I wanted to read them again. They are amazingly well researched and well written books. The way the author has spun real historical events around fictional characters that span through three generations is just amazing.

I love this series by Ken Follett. It is on par with his other winning cathedral series. He is a fine story teller and you will find it difficult to put each book down.

Follet is one of those authors that drives me buggy. You keep reading hoping there is something to hold your interest for more than a few pages. After you have read 2/3 of the book he gets you hooked and then leaves you hanging for the next book. The history is well researched and I do enjoy the weaving of his story lines with historical facts I just wish he would get to the point and plot a lot sooner. It would make for a better read. Although I enjoyed this series I doubt I will be a big fan in the future.

I bought this as a gift for Father's Day after having read two of the three books myself. The quality was quite nice given that they are not hardcover books. I prefer not to have hard covers for books of this size as they are simply too large and uncomfortable to hold. My Dad was excited and hope he enjoys them as much as I did.

They are not collectable unless you enjoy the content.The pages are all crisp and I can easily say that the quality of the books are an easy 4 star+
