Drops right in, works as it should
While old engine oil was draining, I popped open the hood, removed the oil filter housing, discarded the old filter, dropped this genuine MB filter into filter housing, then closed up the filter cap to manufacturer's torque specs. After new fresh oil was added, started up the engine and the car purred happily. This filter did its job and without the dealer or independent mechanic markups. Excellent item and value!

OEM MB Filter
I have used these filters for a couple of years now and saw some of the recent reviews stating they're not OEM MB filters so I decided to buy both, one from Amazon and one from my local dealer.The filters are identical, both have the indented area on the element, both have a different part number on the filter than what comes on the box, all the other part numbers and manufacture name are the same on both filters. Filter pictures have the dealer filter on the left and the Amazon filter on the right.My dealer sells the filter for $25.00, $8.00 more than I paid on Amazon so I save a little and have the convenience of having it delivered to my home. Hope this helps when making a decision.

I have noticed some comments on not being oem items. These look and feel oem. So far after 3 months the car responds great.im sure these are worth the money

Poor packaging but best price for a genuine filter
Please ship in a box, NOT a bubble-envelope. My heart sank when I pulled out the mashed filter box from the envelope. Filter appears to be undamaged but that has to be luck judging by the damage to the box it was in. Filter appears to be genuine.

OEM replacement - can't go wrong!
OEM replacement for the same filter utilized by Mercedes from the factory. Perfect fit and easy to install. Probably could find a comparable filter at a cheaper price, but at least I don't have to worry about it not fitting properly or the quality.

Mercedes quality…cloth not paper.
I always use genuine Mercedes filters…they have superior cloth elements…not paper like 3rd party.Be forewarned, many Quicklube places will NOT use customer supplied filters, they say “no 3rd party filters”.When they refused to change my oil, I told them mine are genuine…their’s are 3rd party!
