Does not stick well to surface and it is too brittle
The pigments stay in your hands no in the surfaces. Too brittle to work with.

More useful than I knew!
Never having used pastels, I took a shot at these, and am very glad I did! They are an oil pastel, and can be spread by rubbing right on the paper, scraping bits off, or using q-tips, or cotton balls. Lovely range of colors, and very useful as backgrounds in my coloring books. You can also put them down as a base layer, and color over them!
