A Very Practical Alternative To Recurring Gym Membership Fees!
This is a very, very good weight bench for the home gym. It permits a wide variety of exercises to be performed, it's super sturdy and all the parts and pieces look and feel to be of good quality. I haven't yet subjected it to heavy use, but just from trying everything out, I have no reason to expect it to start falling apart any time soon. I'm not by any means a 'body builder', I just work out to keep trim and in shape. This bench will more than fit the bill for that. I have a gym membership, but I don't go to the gym for social reasons. With this, I can't think of a reason to keep that membership.A couple of dings though; minor ones but dings nonetheless. ONE is that adjusting the height of the preacher curl pad requires completely unscrewing and removing a knob bolt. I don't know why a lock pin wouldn't have been better for that. TWO is that I wish the seat could be adjusted forward and backward just a bit. But again, those are very minor dings.Assembly wasn't bad at all since I followed the instructions carefully. However, the weird-looking little 'tool' provided for assembly is all but worthless! Unfortunately, the only alternative tools I had, and had to use, were a pair of standard pliers and a pair of channel lock pliers. Still from unboxing to completion took a bit less than two hours working entirely alone. If I'd had a socket set, I probably could have cut that time by a third. There were neither any missing parts or pieces nor any extras. None of the parts were scratched, bent or dented and everything was well-packed.Overall, I'd recommend this bench. It's decently priced, of good quality, not hard to assemble and doesn't take up as much space as I thought it might. Plus, it looks very nice. If for any reason, as I use it, I come up with a reason to deduct any stars, I'll update this review. But for now, I don't hesitate to give it all 5.

Solid bench that supports all the typical Arm, Chest, Leg and other exercise movements
Good, solid bench - Safe, no shaking or rattling! My wife and I both enjoy using this unit. It was simple to put together with a few wrenches but did take about 95 mins. The padded seat and back have adequate padding, but since the cover is stapled on like most benches, I might add some more foam in future - but definitely not an issue or big deal. Bench supports all the positions needed for usual Arm, Chest, Leg and even other exercise movements. The preacher curl component is really great and we were looking for that specifically in the benches we considered before buying this one and the price was just right! And I checked carefully but did not find ANY welds that looked weak or of concern and all parts were received. We are happy and impressed and using daily since June 1.

TL/DR: Good bench, great price, has quirks with room for improvement.
I've been using this weight bench for a couple weeks now, and having given it a fair shake, I thought a review was warranted.Assembly: Provided you are okay with reading directions and have a socket wrench, it wasn't difficult to assemble. There are lots of parts, but it all came together fairly easily in about 1.5 hours. That said, it probably would have taken longer and been more frustrating if I didn't use a socket wrench instead of the provided tools. Also, I had to expand the bevel of one of the holes in the backrest support beams in order to align the bolt with the receiving thread.Usage: The end result feels solid, and while the padding may not be as think as I would like, it's also not uncomfortable. Moving the backrest from flat to incline/decline is easy enough, and changing the leg developer to and from preacher curl mode is simple. This weight bench gets the job done and I've been getting some solid workouts. The Quirks: These are areas that could definitely use improvement. (1) Bar support and preacher curl pad adjustments, while not difficult per se, are certainly not convenient. Rather than some sort of quick-release option, they use screw-in bolts. So any time you want to raise/lower these parts (e.g. raising the bar supports to accommodate an incline press position), you have to completely unscrew each both, make your adjustment, make sure the setting holes are aligned, and re-insert and screw in the bolts. (2) The ab crunch adapter isn't exactly obvious in how to use it (admittedly, I had to look it up and found an answer here on Amazon). Unless I'm completely using it incorrectly (which, I don't think I'm far off), I realized that the mechanics of it result is the elastic band stretching over my back as I crunch forward. It's not very comfortable. Also, there's a limit to how far you can raise weights, limiting the range of movement for my crunches (this actually applies to curls as well, but in how far I can lower the weights... and yes, I've tried different heights for the preacher curl pad). (3) This one might be more of a knit pick, but the Olympic adapter doesn't appear to have a way of locking in place, so removing the last weight plate often results in pulling the adapter off with it. It's minor, but still a fixable quirk. Conclusion: I realize that the quirk section looks like the weightier portion of this review, but that's just the nature of criticism. There is more specificity in describing the quirks. The quirks don't make this a bad purchase, though, especially for the price. The bottom line is that this weight bench, quirks and all, was a good purchase and something I would recommend to anybody looking to buy a good bench on a budget. It has a solid build and gets the job done.

Solid bench!
I LOVE this bench, it is VERY well built. It took a bit of time to assemble, but well worth it. The instructions are good and the quality of the product is superb. Make sure you get the measurements on any bar you plan on using with this bench as a 5 foot bar might not fit quite right. That has nothing to do with the bench though as a normal bar is 7 feet long and this bench will hold that just fine. The only thing I can recommend for them to improve this product is to make the curl bar grips free spinning so they rotate as you do a curl. That is really a minor issue though. Oh and I am 345 lbs and this bench does not even flinch when I use it. So built well for larger users.Update after using for a bit: The leg extension could be a couple inches high off the ground. To use this thing I end up having to not bring my legs all the way down as my feet will get caught up between the floor and the foot pads. The cheezy plastic caps for the foot pads could be smaller too as they press into my ankle when using the leg extension and leg curls. Overall though still a worthwhile product. I read a bunch of the one start reviews and they sound like a bunch of people that do not know how to follow instructions on the assembly. I would not pay much heed to them.
