Lijjat Papad, Punjabi Masala, 7.06-Ounce Pack (Pack of 20)

Tasty and easy to fry for a quick snack

Nice to buy things that help people as well as filling the belly. I hadn't tried their spicy version yet; delicious. Be warned, though, there are a LOT of papadum in these packages. Also, the cellophane wrapping around them tends to break after a few months, so best to put the entire set into a larger container or ziplock bag if you have issues with critters or insects.It would be really nice if these came with directions, or at least suggestions. We microwave ours for 50-60 seconds (using 1-3 at a time on a paper towel) and that seems to crisp them up. I've also had good success throwing them into a skillet, then turning once they begin to harden.

These papads are stale and cracked. They catch fire instead of roasting on a gas stove. I am very disappointed because I bought 9 packs.

Fanning myself as I write this review. I am used to the cumin ones which are much milder so these were something of an eye opener and hoping I will get used to them over time. Good taste but be warned they are spicy hot.

We love these. They are just like the ones in our favorite Indian restaurant. Also, put them in the microwave for about 1 min on medium and they are perfect and no oil added. :)The pack is rather large, so I gave some to my friends and family. It isn't bad having lots of extras. ;) They are also a great snack. FYI this flavor is a bit spicy, so if you are serving to someone who is not a fan of spice be sure and have good chutneys (mint, mango, etc...) ;)You won't regret this buy if you are a Indian food lover

We love these - and you have to love them to go through 20 packages. The black pepper in these is intense so don't get them if you don't like a lot of black pepper. Great with meals and with drinks. Packaging was fine - a few chips around the edges of some packs but no major damage. For years I prepared them by roasting over the gas stove but have started using the microwave more often - about a minute on high is perfect and you can make a batch all at once.

I have loved the taste of this papad, however, Lijjat has a terrible packaging. A lot of times the papad inside is so dried out then they crack and chip and therefore is harder to roast on open fire. In other cases, simple handing of the package cracks the papad. I just wish the company did a better job of packaging that retaining some moisture so the stuff does not crack and chip.

I LOVE these papas and my local Indian grocery store either stopped carrying them or they were out of stock - and that was not to be - so I ordered these. Now I have enough to last a year. None were appreciably broken in shipment (meaning, no more than when I buy in the store). So, great experience. I don't know how others prepare them but I put them in a microwave for 20-30 seconds (depending on the microwave).
