Good thinking but need better design
Return the Pro model 10 minutes after try to put rods on it.Pro: 1. Material feels good; 2. Looks okayCons:1. It doesn't fit low profile baitcaster at all;2. tubes are too big for rod blank, once you put rods in it , it's saggy and shakes, even you secure the bungy cords, the rod rattles inside the tube (the holder);3. the holder doesn't have a bottom to support the whole unit. it needs the rods support themselves with their own butts. don't know about yours, I don't want my G Loomis and St croix rods be treated like that;4. the Pro model can hardly stand still, since the middle tube touches the ground, and the tube is in round shape, you can imagine.5. the handle is not that big and not the comfort, cushion will be needed.Overall, not an ideal product, especially for this price. at this point, I'm afraid a thumb down is my opinion

Makes carry multiple rods a no hassle experience.
I love this rod/reel carrier and it has been such a life saver. I do a lot of shore fishing, with shoreline that goes from sand to mud to rock and it has held up extremely well, and made it much easier to navigate the transport of multiple rods than just throwing them in a bucket or grabbing them all in your hand. (I fish the Mississippi River, Rum River, Elk River, Minnetonka areas of Minnesota)It has been mentioned that the carrier does not fit low profile baitcasting reels which is not the case. I have carried Lews Speed Spools, Shimano SXL and Daiwa Curado baitcast reels and they fit fine. There are only two tubes on the carrier that are for baitcasters though and the remaining three are for spinning reels. The person decrying the lack of the carrier to hold low profile reels must have been using the wrong slots or trying to use it backwards (which I did at first). As to the rod tubes. They are large and your rods will move around in them. I would assume the tubes are designed to accommodate as many rod/reel setups as possible. The bungee tie downs are just to keep your rods from sliding forwards. I don't make it a habit of shaking my rods around in the carrier so the extra room in the tubes are not an issue for me. Gravity for the most part keeps the rods pressed down to the bottom of the tubes when carrying it or setting it down. The balance issue could be a concern for some anglers. I have only had the carrier tip over once and it was on very uneven, pock marked ground. On sand it has done fine and even rocky areas as long as I have been able to find a bit of level ground. The carrier does use the rod handle ends as a stabilizer for the whole rig. I carry St. Croix and Dobyns rods in the carrier and have seen no extra wear on my rods. With 5 rods in the carrier there is very little weight being distributed to the rod handles and of course I am not dragging the rod ends along the ground in the carrier. If a person is the careless type then this might be an issue. The handle is a bit slick and since it is a hard plastic surface your hand may become fatigued. I wrapped some pipe insulation around the handle and that has helped with the fatigue for me. The manufacturer could add a foam type covering where the handle is but then of course that would add cost. A trip to Home Depot, a couple of zip ties and some pipe insulation easily solved the problem. My only concern is that the unit is designed for 3 spinning reels and 2 baitcast reels. I would like to see a model that has either one or the other offered or the ability to purchase and swap out extra tubes so as to make the carrier more versatile. I carry more baitcasting rods/reels than spinning so the configuration is not optimal for me.Overall I like the carrier and would recommend it to others.

I can carry 3 surf rods and 3 sand spikes, GetOutTheHouseGoFish!
I'm so glad I purchased the Rod-Runner.I don't have a beach cart and I don't always take the truck to the beach. The Rod-Runner can fit in the back of a small suv, hatchback, etc.It has made it easier for me, no carrying rods and sand spikes under my arm and trying to keep anything from falling in the sand on the way to a spot.

Meets Expectations, Very Handy to Have!
Regarding any reviews that mention rods with certain reels not fitting: No one can account for every single variation of rod and reel combos and the group you will personally decide to haul on this carrier. With that being said, IT DOES A PRETTY GOOD JOB AT THAT! I have a mixed set up I did as a test: 12 foot surf casting rod, 10 foot surf casting rod, 7 foot bait caster, and two general spinning rods, and I was able to swap the holders around and leverage the elastic bands to accommodate. This thing makes heading to the beach at a moment's notice so much more convenient!

... reviews you realize a 5 gallon bucket might be better. The product kinda works
If you can get away from the advertisement and you tube reviews you realize a 5 gallon bucket might be better. The product kinda works. But it only works on flat surfaces. The legs are to short, and when used on the rocks the rod tips are held to low so they still get in the way. At least in a 5 gallon buck the rod tips are in the air, and it can be placed anywhere.EDIT: Turning it around is a bit better, but rod butt length really effects the stability of this product.
