Fantastic DVR bought to replace a much more expensive Swann system and I was worried the Swann cameras would not work but I'm glad to say the Hard drive and cameras all work perfectly. In fact one Swann camera had to be rebooted regularly as the picture went funny and Swann were no help but on this system its fine. Only negative is as pointed out in other reviews is the fan noise its quite loud but its not a problem to me as its not in the house.

I've had one of these for probably 10 years and it's run without a problem during that time. The one thing that's been lost is the use of an Internet Explorer plug in that doesn't work in any other platform, and hasn't been replaced for modern browsers. Having said that, it works on a phone app, and you can monitor your property from anywhere! If you have more than one property, you can register them both with the app and monitor them from the other side of the world! I've seen a review that says that hard drive failed, but you can buy this without a hard drive and use an old PC (not laptop) hard drive.

Good piece of kit, would be 5 star but the noise of the cooling fan is intrusive. Be ok if it is in another room from you, but I found it very distracting.

Remote viewing very good play back very stable ...bought with no hd fitted with a seagate two tera bit Skyhawk hard drive... motion detection very stable ..remote control pretty useless not required...better.off with a remote usb Controlled mouse than ir hand control can’t see the point...nice stable 4K dvr ...please not the images are not annke cameras on this review

Edit2: I have tried the new DVR box with the human/vehicle detection to reduce the number of false notifications I am receiving. Silly enough this feature works on a less than hd decades old analogue camera but not on a brand new Annke c500 5MP IP camera because the camera *has* to do the processing if you buy an IP camera.Haven't had much of a chance to try testing the accuracy of human detection but it has significantly reduced my notifications, so seems to work to some degree.Edit: I have been sent out an updated box, will update once tried.I have owned this for over a year now, theres some good things but some really dissapointingly bad things.Firstly the fan is far too loud for the amount of air it actual throws out, feels like a side thought fan rather which is just added a cheap fan inside from the market.The cctv enclosure itself is mostly empty, suggesting the thing could be much smaller if better designed.I was promised updates when i purchased the CCTV to the new version which included Human/Vehicle detection, no such thing happened, it still says im on the latest updates, which makes me wonder if they ever give security updatesThe motion dection alone is very poor, sunlight triggers it, rain triggers it, insects attract the IR light at night trigger it, which means im bombarded with notifications, so depends on what kind of cameras you have, potentially older cameras wont work well with notifications.The region specifying option is good i found, you can avoid areas of screen where its busy so they dont trigger false notifications.The app struggles to search through recorded footage from multiple cameras, you can only scrolls the time one camera at a time, which is pretty pointless to be honest.The events menu on the app would be great if i actually got events which werent sunlight and rain or insects.Good encryption features and auto setup with the annke cameras, just a bit annoying that it keeps the cctv password equal to the camera password, usually not a good thing to share passwords.Also weirdly with their own camera, early mornings, it weirdly glitches and theres missing gaps in the recordings for couples of minutes every few hours

Dopo aver scaricato da internet le istruzioni in italiano, ho capito quali erano i problemi che si bloccava. Facile da installare, unica pecca quando le telecamere registrano non si può togliere dal video il simbolo della registrazione. Per il resto tutto perfetto, anche app da remoto funziona alla perfezione.

Sehr einfach über beiliegende Maus einzurichten. 4 Kameras angeschlossen, Menü (Deutsch!) eingerichtet und schon war das Livebild aller 4 Kameras da. Der Alarm- und/oder Bewegungssensor funktionieren für alle 4 Kameras einwandfrei. Man kann entweder ein bestimmtes Kamerabild live anschauen oder alle 4 im Split-Screen. Die Festplatte war bereits eingebaut und ist sehr leise.Rundum perfekt.

Il DVR è privo di hard disk, ma questo, acquistato a parte o, come nel mio caso, riciclato da un vecchio DVR, è facilmente installabile senza la necessità di particolari competenze. Facili i collegamenti e sufficientemente semplice anche la configurazione di rete e del dispositivo (almeno nelle funzioni basilari). La app per smartphone non è male anche se la ricerca delle registrazioni (che, almeno nella configurazione standard, sono disponibili dalle ore 0.00 del giorno in corso) è poco precisa.
