Spare Tire CB Antenna Mount Compatible for Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Sahara JK 2/4 Door 2007-2018

This is an excellent mounting bracket for a CB radio antenna!This Jeep specific antenna mount is made from high quality stainless steel. It will not rust or corrode. The steel is very thick and this product will last for a long time! It may even outlast your Jeep!Installation is very straightforward and ridiculously easy. This mounts to the tire carrier with two bolts. No drilling required! The holes lined up perfectly with no issues whatsoever. You may need to add a spacer depending on your set up, but that is an easy fix.This is so much better than my previous magnetic bumper mount. The bumper mount is fine for every day driving, but sometimes I want to do some intense trail riding or climbing. Now I can wheel all day long without worrying about the magnet detaching.

This was a perfect solution for our GMRS radio antenna. My husband wanted it out of the way and this fits perfect behind the spare tire and uses bolts that are already on the Jeep! Easy to install and perfect for what we needed.

I believe it was meant to install on the passenger side gop of the spare tire mount, but I chose to mount it on the lower driver side od the mount instead. This allows my firestick antenna to be about 5 to 6 inches above the roof line, so I can still get the jeep in my garage.

Great bracket and very secure. Only issue along with others is the tires on the rubicon are much wider and push the antenna toward the jeep. As has already been brought up, I placed electrical tape on the rear of the bracket, and wedged it behind the tire carrier mount and barely clears. Spring I got won't do much front to back but it works. I have the 5 foot fire stick with a heavy duty spring. Just waiting on the quick disconnect.

You will need to file off the powder coat paint to the bare metal on this so the antenna grounds with the car and will work, a quick grinder or file will work and install it behind the spare tire mount or your antenna will not fit because of the spare tire that is if you have a “flat” or coil antenna like I do.

Made of of strong and thick metal with a nice powder coat on it it looks like. Take note however you must mount it behind your tire carrier up against the sheet metal or the antenna will be pushed back by the tire and could damage it. Although the bracket is of good quality and seems sturdy it has a design flaw. There is a lip on the stock tire carrier and this needs a spacer to work around the lip and tighten the bolts which it does not have. The good news is a quick trip to the hardware store and you can fix this. I also feel that this should include longer bolts as once the bracket and spacer is placed on the bolts have limited engagement. Again a trip to the hardware store and I was in good shape. Overall it’s a good bracket however it’s incomplete and needs some hardware to work right.

Installed this tonight, fit great. Although you may need to use a small washer to shim up the corner of the bracket to keep it straight as there is a small lip on the edge of the tire carrier mount. Finished product looks and functions great!
