Q: We just ordered this for our job, is it supposed to be calibrated? Ours is so far off

Ours was right on as well. Came with calibration documentation.

The 98-8 level is supplied in a card board box fitted for that size of level. The level is wrapped in a wax coated paper for moisture protection

The one I bought last year is American made and it shipped from America
