A disc not working
One of the discs no 3 when my husband put it in it said it wouldn’t play because it was the wrong region this has obviously been a mistake at the packing stage in the factory so I wouldn’t buy this again incase the same thing happened again and this was a Christmas present for my husband so it was a waste of time watching disc 1 and disc 2 and he couldn’t watch discs 4 and 5 so was a very disappointing Christmas presentO

better value than getting each movie separately
I’ve been building my collection back up due to having an actual home theater setup and these movies were missing in the collection. The 4k versions were way over the top in cost, so going with the blurays was the choice.

Vampire Epic
It's nice that the villains in this 5 movie cycle aren't those current monsters de jour, specifically, Zombies. That particular genre has been pretty much overdone to death, no pun intended! Instead, we have as our protagonists a monster that has a long & glorious history in Hollywood, not to mention horror literature. I am, of course, talking about vampires. The main charter is a female vampire named Celine, played with understated gusto by Kate Beckinsale, who is anything but hard on the eyes in her black leather jumpsuit (which reminds me of the catsuit worn by Diana Rigg when she played Emma Peel on the British spy TV series The Avengers).Celine is a Deathdealer & Deathdealers hunt Lycans, aka Werewolves, who are the sworn, lethal enemies of vampires. Why this animosity exists is one of the central themes that is explored over the entire 5 movies, with the definitive answers being obtained in "Rise Of The Lycans."As whole, this is a pretty respectable effort, although, as in most movies that span once central character &/or theme, not every movie in the cycle was created equally. My personal favs are Underworld, then Rise of the Lycans & then Blood Wars, but you be the judge. The movies follow Celine as she unearths the origins of both vampires & lycans. She comes to realize that, as in most origin stories, certain unpleasant &/or inconvenient facts have either been forgotten, or covered-up. Even more disturbing are the events which she personally becomes involved with, from falling love with someone who is anathema to her fellow undead, to discovering the treachery at the heart of her own transformation. Complicating her life still further is the fact the war between the vampires & lycans exposes the existence of each to the human population at large. The consequences of that discovery aren't pleasant for anyone involved.Kate Beckinsale does a stand-out job as Celine. She has both the physical presence to carry off the action sequences as well as the acting chops to make her interactions with the other characters consistently believable. Two other superior performances are tuned in. One is by Bill Nighy as Victor, an Elder of the vampire clan Celine belongs to. The other is Michael Sheen as Lucian, the lycan who started the war between the species & who is determined to annihilate the vampires, by whatever means is at hand. This is all rollicking good fun & very entertaining. so, butter up some popcorn, sit back & enjoy 2 monster species that could lay some heavy pain on any zombie dumb enough to get in their way.
