Don't buy crappy orange oil filters for your expensive car! Change your oil regularly and use a quality filter. This is going on a German car, this a German filter from a company that knows filtering. Do your own research, and when you find this is the right filter for your car and that the local AutoZone does not stock it, buy it here with Prime and be happy!

How do you know?
Engine still runs. I really don't know how people rate oil and filters unless your engine froze up and you knew it was due to bad oil or defective filter.

1990 VW MK2 Jetta Fits
This oil filter W 719/5 is the original filter recommended by VW. I've used this filter for past 27 years on both of my MK2 Jetta & Golf. Not sure why Amazon stating it does not fit? The Mann-Filter W 719/30 has more holes [but smaller] and is designated for extended-oil change. Which again Amazon states Not-Fit? Both works fine.
