The tool just works.
This tool was exactly what I needed. Work as advertised, made my job extremely easier and alleviate all the headaches associated with the job. I was able to put the band on during the first try. It was well worth the money, and I highly recommend it.

Great investment if you ever need to remove that washer seal spring!
This tool worked awesome! If you’re ever fought that washer seal spring, this is a must. Literally had the spring off in 10 seconds.. spring went back on in 30 seconds….

Okay
It worked for my Maytag washer. It kept popping out of the retaining ring spring loops when I expanded the spring. It was easier to just put one end of the tool into one of the retaining ring spring loops to expand the spring and pull it off that way. The ring is pretty easy to get off and on. You could use needle nose pliers, with a risk of scratching the machine. Or you could use a small bit in a multi-bit screwdriver to do the same thing. Unfortunately I just though of that and now I wish that I’d returned this, lol.

Simple & Effective | "The Right Tool for the Job"
For my washing machine, the spring had far too much tension for any DIY solution to work. I also couldn't find a 'plier' tool that expanded it enough to get it around the gasket. So after a lot of wasted time & frustration, this tool got the job done in a couple minutes. This is what people mean when they said 'Use the right tool for the job'. This is going to make the process of routinely cleaning my washing machine so much faster/easier.

did not work for me
Didn't work on Whirlpool washer it would pop out of the loops on the spring, ended up just using pliers. I think it would have worked well if the loop on the spring was solid but if there is a gap in the loop it will just push through it.
