The slipping and squealing stopped!
I can't really say what the difference is. 2005 Silverado with the 5.3. I know these trucks have different size belts based on the alternator capacity. We chased the noise a year ago and we finally realized we had the wrong size belt at least we thought so. After replacing pulleys and idlers a new belt fixed it. For about 18 months. This belt is actually a looser fit so I can't begin to understand why this one fixed it again. But it did thank heavens! My son was beside himself with embarrassment driving his truck to school 🤣🤣🤣. All better now and still quiet a month later.

Not a 5 star belt(Yet) 2006 SILVERADO 2500HD LT 6.0L
2006 SILVERADO 2500HD LT 6.0L: Reason not a five overall rating is because I do not know how the belt will hold up after a few years. The GATES K060930HD fit perfectly. I have a KN airflow kit so I had to remove the radiator fan cover which is held by 2 10MM screws and (4) plastic retainer clips. Tools needed: Ratchet and 15MM socket for the tensioner. Inspect your pully's and tensioner overall a 30 minute job. While you have everything off inspect your AC belt as well, mine was not cracked but I plan on getting a Gates replacement for it anyway.
