Q: does this stuff ever expire to where it no longer can be used ?

Interesting question. I used the product 3 years ago, new in the container according to directions. I still have all 5 stumps, although slightly less solid than they were 3 years ago.

Q: will this kill the stump of a 16 yr ols maple tree that has been cut down?

Used it twice after crape myrtle cut down last spring. Still not completely dead after nearly a year. Still hoping it will kill it

dont' know anything about the stump out liquid. I heard about it on a garden radio show . they recommended for new growth of poison ivy. I purchased for a nandina tree because I am tired of digging up and cutting off new shoots all the time. I put it around the tree/bush and so far has worked to kill off new shoots but not original tree. no new growth for about 1 month since i put it down
