I am an active senior citizen and always on the go. But I have as I have aged, thinning skin layer, which bruises easily. I hope these work to protect my shins that bruise very easily. They fit a little large for me. I am 5' and weigh 103 if that helps you choose. The fabric seems comfortable, but they are pretty warm when worn outside.
